Wow - I have played eq2 (very casually) since about 2 weeks after it opened up. However, I mostly play all traditional solo classes and don't group much. I finally decided to make an inquis. After reading these forums I am a little baffled though. I guess I am used to the traditional idea of a "cleric" (since I played eq1) - and I have to admit this whole battle cleric thing is confusing me. lol! I guess I will figure that out as I gain levels. I probably *will* solo with her if it is possible (which I had no idea it was). Though I want to group also. That was my point of making a cleric! But hey being able to solo is always great - especially since I play odd hours.

My question is about the AAs. Usually looking at the AA lines on my other characters I had no problem seeing what would make sense to pick but on my inquis i am clueless! Help!

well, if you want to be able to solo better, check out the other post about spending AAs, that will make you solo very well, and normal grouping you will still be very effective.

Just for a quick summary, in case you don't want to read through the other posts.

the STA line in kos is a must for soloing and grouping

the battle line in eof is the best for soloing

Aside from that the STR/AGI lines = soloing, the INT lines = grouping/raiding

thank you. yes, I already started putting points into stamina. i really think i will be grouping with this character more than soloing because really that is what i made her for. all of my other classes are soloers so i don't have a desire to go that route with this one.

Ok so after I reach 100% critical in the stamina line - should I start with int or work on the EoF tree? And what would be the best options there for a grouping inquis? Also, what is the setup for INT you recommend?

This is what another person listed for the KoS line - would this make sense for me (again - really not interested in soloing):

STA: 4-4-5-8

INT: 4-4-4-8-8

Just a thought - if I really am not interested in soloing - would it make more sense for me to be a templar than an inquis?

Message Edited by Trayla on 01-08-2007 12:19 PM

I believe from everything I've read here that if you're going to group that you are on the right track by putting points into the INT line. I believe you should take it all the way and get the last ability as well. However, things are a little different if you decide to go raiding in the EoF zones. But for grouping and raiding into the KoS zones the two choices you've made are good ones. On the inquisitor line I would think for grouping you should start with the deubff line since healing and debuffing are an inquisitors bread and butter while grouping. But, fortunately with the new inquisitor line and people expirementing with many different combinations you'll find that you can still do well at healing and debuffing while also putting out some nice damage of your own.

I have a raiding-only inq. (I 2 box a number of other classes in solo/grouping fun) Full mastered and full fabled. Maxed STA/INT kos lines. What the hell EoF AA do I pick? I have NO interest in dps'ing. I am a healer/debuffer. So far I have been putting AA's in the debuff line of EoF, but about to run out of places there. Should I just not worry about EoF AA's and just let them pile up till SoE figures out my woodelf Inquisitor is a healer, not a beserker?

Hey I know what you mean. I was reallly /boggling over the AA choices for inquisitor as they seemed really strange for a healer. We are healers right....?

We're excellent for groups with a lot of melee classes. We didn't get much in EoF to help our healing, but we got enough dps to compete with fighter dps now.

Now to the OP...the Int line is never a bad place to start if that's the way you want to take your toon. Even if you plan on grouping a lot you might enjoy the battle line in EoF. With the battle line you can easily sneak in a couple nukes (combat arts) without worrying about needing to heal before they go off. The debuff line also has skills that would be nice to help a group since inquisitor debuffs either help you heal or help your group do more damage.
