View Full Version : Healer help

I have a friend who is looking at returning to eq2 after a long time away. She is interested in playing a healer, but she left the game because when he could not find groups she basically could not do anything solo. I'm trying to keep this from being the case this time around.

So my question to the community at large, between a inquis, templar, and a warden (the three classes she is interested in) which would be the best fit for her to be good in groups and solo play? I myself play a wizard for the most part and am not experinced in this type of play. So i just don't know how it is for you all.

I hear that inquis solo pretty well now days, not like a dps. but steady. I have not heard anything at all about either of the other two. So please, if you could help me out I would be appreciative.

Message Edited by lost45 on 12-22-2006 07:43 PM

Templar is probably least soloable of those three.

Message Edited by sunyata39 on 12-22-2006 09:32 PM

Even though the Inq isnt on the top line of healing per say against a warden, they can however stand up to the mobs and take a much better beating than the warden. The plate armor of the Inquisitor and new combat skills should allow her to play the role of tank much better than a leather wearing warden. I know from experience that I have duoed most of my 70 lvls with my wife's wizard. I take the hits and heal and debuff, she does the damage. Now what YOU will have to be careful of is agro control with you damage, she will only have heals to hold agro, so don't go balls out on damage from the start.

This can and does make a fairly good duo team as we have found out. Sure enough, you may not be able to take on some encounters without some good playing and thought to it, but that just makes it all the more fun.

GL to you both.

inquisitors probably have the most potential to solo, but it takes quite a few AAs to get to that level of soloability. id say go with warden, although fury is definitely the best soloing healer
