View Full Version : Enchanted Verdict problem
<DIV>Has anyone tried out the new verdict aa? I trained it and it doesn't appear to work at all, unless I am misunderstanding the way its supposed to operate. I assumed that you can cast it anytime during the encounter and it will automatically go off when mob reaches the appropriate percentage of health. Please correct me if I am wrong. Using it I couldn't get it to stick to the mob even when it wasnt resisted. It would not put any new effects on the mobs buff list. Please explain what this enhancement does because I feel I have wasted 5 AA points. </DIV>

yeah.. this one is kinna hard to explain. in beta, nobody really can understand what does it do by the description. some people say that's not english. there was a post in the beta forum asking what does it mean in english. and Lockeye answered it. he said ( hope I understand it right )you should be able to use it before verdict triggers. for instance, if you should be able to use it at 4% on a epic, it will be during like 10 seconds ( it's was 10 seconds in beta ) when the epic mob hit 2%, it will trigger right away.<div></div>anyways.. I am not sure.. I didn't get this line at all

<P>I resetted my aa to it. Since mobs got way more hitpoints so I thought it might be usefull.</P> <P>I didnt see/noticed any difference. I was hoping to be able to cast it earlier so it triggers at threshold. But nope it works same as before.</P> <P>i read many posts asked on server. after several hours found out that none has any clue. only vague guesses.</P>
If thats the case, it may be broken or bugged. I tried using it at multiple different times and I never seen the effect go off, except when I landed it when you could use it originally. I plan to /bug it tonight, then respec back to my combat arts which are fun at least. Sony could at least make our near useless new aa's work. They never cease to dissapoint me with character progression in this game.<p>Message Edited by Vaza on <span class=date_text>11-24-2006</span> <span class=time_text>08:24 PM</span>

i have asked about this one a few times, and as far as i can tell, it is supposed to work like the above people have said.put it on a mob sometime before 2% (for epics) say around 3 or so, and if you hit 2% within the time of the duration, it triggers instantly... i have not heard any developer etc comment on it yet, so i dont know if that is what is intended, but by the sound of it it doesnt seem to be working.<div></div>
I didn't think you would need to land the spell within 1.5 seconds of when the mob reaches its required percentage. I don't think that would be worth spending 5 AA. I assumed you could land it whenever since it doesn't say in the spells description.

<DIV>it would be nice if they'd upgrade verdict to hit at 5% on epics, and 15 or 20 % on heroics, for atm the only place verdict is usefull is in nizara, and when you have real low dps in a raid, basicly still a fun spell, so using aa on it would be useless imo</DIV>

We don't get any credit in the log for validation, but we do get the big blue gavel effect - I love that. Fun spells are nice.</P> <P>The thing that would make this AA worth taking for me is if they increased the timer so I still didn't have to pay so much attention to the mob's health - 5 sec. I'd prefer something that lasted 15-20 sec that I could "set it and forget it." Now that would be useful to me.</P> <P>Sure hope they fix the problem with the trigger effect, tho. I have plans to take enhanced verdict very late in my AA progression, but it's on there still. Might have to remove it if they can't make it work. Those of you who already have it, please keep us updated<BR></P>

<DIV>why would 5 % be overpowered if you have reached 5 % of a mob you have already overcome all crazy aoe's and such, so the rest of the hp is just stupid burn, and verdict will be usefull, when you cast it at 2% it usually actually hits when its already dead or very close to that, only fights like matron/cd not....</DIV>

<P>My Inquisitor has been trying it out in Labs trash runs to see. 5 seconds once cast is not very long; you still have to time the cast so that the timer doesn't run out before the threshold percentage is reached. That being said, I have seen it fail to trigger on about half the mobs I cast it on. If it is supposed to have a chance of failing, the devs need to put that back in the description. </P> <P>If not, then it is bugged in some way. Please fix this issue, SoE.</P>

<DIV>i was thinking they added a trigger treshold in the duration of spell . 5 sec to reach the limit and boom.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I say , let's all /bug . until they gave a valid answer and a fix on that. Enough on inquisitors slap.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>i wont surrender to templar betraying after 2 years. i want it the way it has to work.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>===> Ability tested. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>the Verdict icon is showing on mob, only one half second, when it's working. That's the core of the problem , The 5 seconds of duration arent working at all . </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Verdict is bugged and they need to Fix the duration of spell to make it works, and THEN , the trigger will be able . Actually, the spell is triggering right they you hit mob with it . In this case, i dont see how it can wait a treshold to work... </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I already bugged, and if needed will send them logs about this bug. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Ymrir, 70 broken inqui ,befallen</DIV><p>Message Edited by Catseyes on <span class=date_text>12-01-2006</span> <span class=time_text>11:43 AM</span>
<DIV>This ability working for anyone yet? I havent seen anything in patch notes, and was hoping to. I like the idea of not having to watch mobs health.</DIV>

<P>I thought this would be a total waste of 5 AA's, never thought it would be useful until my guild raid in Mistmoore's Inner Sanctum the other night. There are two named in the zone that literally go crazy at 5%. At exactly 5% they start casting a really nasty AE and will self heal, well the heal seems to be timed...I'm not exactly sure when it goes off, but basically my guild found that if you burn these mobs as fast as possible (at 5%) you can avoid the heal and kill them all together. Verdict is the raid saver against these mobs. I never thought it would be needed so much on a raid. Anyway, after encountering these mobs and after hearing people scream in our vent channel "VERDICT VERDICT!!!" I came to the realization that enhance veridict could potentially prevent quite a bit of frustration in this kind of situation. If verdict doesn't go off, then these mobs will heal to around 20% or so and combined with their nasty AE that has a HUUUGE range, I've found that verdict can mean the difference between a win or wipe. I'm not sure if any other raiding Inquisitors have encountered these named and know what I mean, but I would be interested to hear what their experiences have been.</P> <P> </P> <P>Gregos-70 Inquisitor Nagafen Server</P>
