<div></div>I was thrilled when I saw that Heresy had been converted to affect an entire encounter, rather than a single target. But then I noticed what else changed: The recast time has been increased from 15 seconds to 60 seconds. The number of procs per target has been decreased from 5 to 3.The increase in duration is crippling, from my perspective. Before it was possible to keep the spell on a single target constantly, unless he was using up all the procs. Now, it's just a minor inconvenience to the group as a whole.I suppose the change might be beneficial for heroic groups of mobs. But they don't actually cast their heals all that often, and when they do it's for insane amounts of hitpoints. The change makes us much weaker soling - fighting the druid trees in KoS, for instance. 3 procs every minute won't put a dent in their regen. In PVP, the new version of the spell is a greater nuisance for group-on-group PVP, but it's not going to make or break a fight. In a wining fight it won't matter much, and in a balance or losing fight we just don't have time for much of anything other than healing. In solo PVP, this spell used to be our greatest weapon against enemy healers, but now it's just useless.Does anyone have any idea WHY this spell was changed? If the devs think they did us a favor, they're very wrong.<div></div><p>Message Edited by Bayler_xev on <span class=date_text>11-16-2006</span> <span class=time_text>10:45 AM</span>

There is a new AA ability to enhance this spell, but I can't remember if it's a decreased duration or an increased proc count. In any case, that might help. Personally, I don't use it too much myself. Usually only in raids and if I know the mobs are healers.<div></div>

Likewise; I barely ever use it, but looks like for the end-line punishment aa option, I'm going to have to take at least a few ranks of it, because punishments really doesn't contain a whole lot...<div></div>

<DIV>For myself, I love the new change. Macro'd with Forced Obedience for two grp debuffs, about the same timer on each. The new AA line for Heresy (if i remember right) adds a proc per point to the spell. So it could go up to 8 procs on one cast.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As a note, I almost never solo (got a necro for that) and when I do group, its mostly for raids in which debuffing single targets is more effective. Loss of 2 procs doesnt make/break a mob imo.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My current disappointment is lack of an AA line that improves healing abilities. The lines for reduced timers on our emergency heals is BS, at max it reduces the 15 min timer to 12 min, 30 sec. WOW! uber :smileysad: Lame. Myself, going down the debuff lines for max effectiveness, max on the group proc (my guildies love it vice 1 more person getting the STA/DPS buff).</DIV>
