<DIV>To keep a long story short, I'm new the game (bought and installed yesterday).  This isn't my first mmo, but I'd greatly appreciate some general tips on playing effectively as an Inquisitor.  That includes both solo and group play, since it'll be a good while before I start raiding I figure that I might as well start out with the basics.  Thanks in advance for your time.</DIV>

Most of the advice that will help you when you're brand new doesn't apply specificly to inquisitors; it's just general game stuff.  Here are a few off the top of my head:1. If you don't know a full command but know part, type it and press tab.  The game will give you a list of valid command completions, or complete it for you if there's only one match.  (For example, if you type "/curt<tab>", the game will expand it to "/curtsey".)2. Collect all the shiny question marks on the ground that you can find.  The rewards for completing collections of them are sometimes very nice, and they can often sell for quite a lot of money.3. Don't worry too much about gear before before level 20.  The early levels go by quickly enough that you'll never fill every slot with good stuff.  At level 20, there are armor quests that are worth doing.4. Explore tradeskills and harvesting.  Not everyone enjoys them.  But if you do, they can be a good source of extra money.Welcome to the game.<div></div>

As a low level inquisitor I would suggest as soon as you start to get your cures, to use them on a regular basis and get comfortable using them in the middle of fights. Cures are something alot of healers neglect to use and it can mean the diffrence in a fight sometimes. They take a descent amount of power to cast so use em when ya need to. You are more likely to have good group experiances if you cure ailments asap, just as well as healing. I would also suggest embracing the fact Inquisitors are all about offensive-defense. What I mean by that is that a strong offense kills the mob quicker and therefore needs less healing on the tank and inquisitors are all about that where templars are all about creating a brick wall of defense. I think you will really enjoy an inquisitor if you like being more than just a healer.

definately notas you get higher in level you will get spells that will greatly aid you in solo survivability.the reverse dmg shields mainly are what I am referring to. I am not even sure if you get a reactive heal at lvl 10 and lower. just stick with it.<div></div>

<DIV>Work on your harvesting skills - you can sell any resources you don't need. Roots usually sell really well since most/all tradeskill classes need them.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Rares that you harvest will earn you some coin (via selling to other players) and/or you can use them for armor/spell/gear upgrades.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'd suggest you try getting your single target reactive spell upgraded asap. Lower levels I think I used this more than the direct heals. Upgrading all your other spells to app4+ (player made)  will deffinitely improve your effectiveness. Bestowal of Vitae is your t2 (lv 10-19) reactive. I think you get it at level 12.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Look for adept1 spells on the broker and maybe buy those if they are inexpensive.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Sage might be a good crafter class to start with since Sage's make Inquisitor spell upgrades.  It seems to take me longer to harvest the normal raws in T1  (level 3-9) and T2 (level 10-19) than it takes to level up a tradeskill class in those tiers.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I really would suggest not spending lots of cash/time upgrading your 0-19 spells/gear/etc as those levels can go really quick.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>There are a lot of quests around/in FP that will give good xp and item/coin rewards. Try to do as many as you can.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If you don't have access to Kingdom of Sky - I'd say get that too. KoS will give you access to Alternate Achievement points (AA pts) gaining these seem to be much slower the closer you are to 20 (have to be 20+ to be able to earn points) but they will give you an edge.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
