I don't like the look of the Proc...8 percent proc seems crappy comapred to chance for spells to Crit??If you max Spell Crit line what is percentage total?<div></div>

Actually when its maxed out with 8 ranks it is 40% chance to proc every swing and ANY dps class in the game would kill for a 40% chance to interupt and do 100 damage every swing. The spell crit is nice, only problem is we have so few damage spells. Our Heat dot our mental dot and our dd spell... if you want to get technical you could even count our encounter ae. I dunno those spells are nice but the damage on them is so insubstantial. But then I am biased toward melee dps too.

Stoic, are you talking about the STR line? I was thinking about that third ability... are you saying the % goes up to 40%? Wow... I was assuming just the dmg went up.If so, that's definitely a killer addition... might make me think twice about dropping the 15% heal crits.<div></div>

As far as the spell crit one goes, that one effects almost all of our spell lines. I've had it frequently proc a crit on the Inquest line and drain a good bit more power than a non crit proc on it. Both the melee and spell crit ones are nice IMO.

I was skeptical about it too but I had to experiment with it and was pleasently surprised when the proc damage didn't go up but the % went up. I was like "oh i am so gonna have some fun with this bad boy hehe". Basicly now if I fight a mage type, any of em even enchanters or sorcers or summoners, being able to interupt them so much makes for very easy fights. They can still get a stun off or 2 but you through out fervent focus and proceed to smack them some more and then their precious little Ice Nova can't hit ya no more hehe. Just my take on it anyway hehe.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<P>We have a lot more spells than you think.  Almost any spell proc has a chance to crit.  So weapon procs, acts procs, inquest procs, both DoTs, or vengeanges, repentance, both DDs, heretic's, therma shocker, wands, jewelry/armor procs, signets, volatile fluids, and I'm sure there are a bunch more, all will check on that spell crit.  Whats more is that each tic of something like a DoT does its own check, so you figure 2 DoTs with 5 tics each, and a 40% crit rate, you're looking at 2 tics per spell critting.</P> <P>I find that with about 6-8 things proccing on attack, and going full damage spells, the crit increase alone is in excess of 100DPS per fight.</P> <P>Unfortunately I'm having issues finding a way to show this in parses, since crits are innate, I can't find a way to show DPS with and without them.  I wish there was a way to disable innate AA's.</P>
