<DIV>Alright guys normally i am not a big person to flame SOE and this isn't intended as a flame per sae. The problem I have noticed though is that there are like 4 or 5 armor sets that exactly resemble our relic set. Awakened Scalelord armor is the exact same (except the pope hate) as our relic in look and color. Templar relic and firebrand have the same exact look just one is blueish and the other is gold. Not to mention the plate rewards from Xhorroz, the blood drenched armor is exactly same model as well except its red.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Those are just the ones off the top of my head but I find it kinda lame that our class "defining" armor is shared by just about anyone who can wear plate. Heck a tank in full scalelord looks the same as me in full relic. It makes me feel special to know that I can look like everyone else in the game with my defining armor on. If i don't have my pope hat on I am just a carbon copy of anyone with those armors. I don't mean to bitz and moan so much I was just a bit let down to find out after working so hard for a full set that I don't look "unique." Maybe I am being overly sensitive but the reason I enjoy games like this the most is being able to stand apart from others. Now I don't mind looking similar to a shadowknight with my blackcoat cause thats 1 other class and they have to share that drop with us, perfectly understandable. I just wish the models were a bit more varied instead of carbon copy rip-offs with a slight color change to make us feel special. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I sure hope the armor in EoF is done with a bit more thought. Would be dissappointing to go to the trouble of getting a full suit of armor and just look like any other knock off. I take great pride in being able to stand out in a crowd. People can look at me and go "wow thats a cool looking inquisitor." Cause at present our relic armor is sorely lacking in alot of areas, if nothing else without increasing stats or anything at least make us look diffrent.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>/rant off</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Sorry about that but it just bothered me being a carbon copy of anyone who can farm scalelord armor. </DIV>

<P>Its the same for all other classes at least you can look just like a druid being able to wear almost all armor.</P> <P>But I agree it sucks that we dont get any really class specific gear, hats are a nice step in the good direction (if only they would give druids their own hat) and I believe devs were fooling around a bit with simplifying  player models (4 skeletons) to make more diverse armor possible and reduce slowdown.</P><p>Message Edited by quetzaqotl on <span class=date_text>08-23-2006</span> <span class=time_text>07:27 PM</span>

That has been a problem for ages and I totally agree that it sucks.  Heck, some classes STILL don't have their class specific helm graphics yet and it's been what 6 months since they were added to the game.  While it isn't gamebreaking, it makes you wonder what their art department does exactly.

I think this is part of the compromise from people looking like clowns in T6.  the only way to make things more uniform is to have better blending between sets.  I've noticed that about 8-9 of the pieces I wear all have similar colorschemes, but they do all look different, especially on higher graphics settings.  I'd rather something looks sweet, but is colored similar to things like relic or lesser armor, than have gold boots, purple pants, a red chest, some brown arms, green gloves and a blue helm.<div></div>

I was sooo thrilled to get the Bloackcoat gloves in labs this week, woooot, black and red and omg they are not oven mitts... I'd have traded them for the relic ones but i lost those to our zerker and he rolled 94/1000.... yep, i always roll that well, sigh. Anyway couldn't agree more about the armors, and if i could do something about my barbie pink pants, you know i would... <div></div>

<P>My toon looks worse and worse all the time, and I'm realizing its nothing to do with sets, but rather with top/bottom issues.   Almost all of the chest/shoulder/forearm/hand items I've gotten from ANY t7 set have matched up great.  They all seem to have varieties of red and silver hues with some really nice burnishing on the higher end stuff like the black lotus chest.  The problem I'm finding is getting any pants that match the set.  I went from purple to shiny silver, to now having the off blue pants from Hurricanus.  I like how the QC pants covered my boots so that my legs at least all looked one color, it helps counter the yellow boots when I wear boots of the devout (other boots match better), but the pants never seem to fit with any chest/arm combo.  At least the silver with the silver/red sort of went together even though they were seperate tones.</P> <P>The thing is though, if almost every set of plate upper body gear is redish in some nature, do you make a very cleric specific set of pants thats not even remotely blended with that (ie: the hurricane leggings).  They have +ministration afterall, and almost identical stats to the blackcoat, only better in each one.  Not that a tank wouldn't want them, but they definately seem to have a healer focus, so why not make them match all the healer tops?</P>

<P>I just picked up the quest reward chest piece for clearing LOA Wednsday and it's [Removed for Content] GREEN. So now I'm on a hunt to find more green armor. Anyone seen any? *cry*</P> <P>Legs are bright silver and shoulders are the red ones from Claymore quests. I look like frogger got run over by a paint truck atm..</P>

it kinda sucks that most the good gloves are mitts, so i have to carry an extra set of gloves around, so all the ladies dont laugh at me when i port back into town <span>:smileysad:</span><div></div>
