<DIV>Hi to all;</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So I wiped out my fledgling Fury to give Inquisitor a shot - I was lured in by the crafted plate armor created for Inq. and Temp., and by the fact that they're pretty rare while Furies are quite popular. Templar is popular too now, so I followed my heart back to Freeport. I'll be running solo's and duo's mostly, but as a Healer I'm sure I can get picked-up if I care to.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Is there anything I need to know about the class, here at the beginning? Anything not apparent to the noob eye. I've got a 44 Defiler, so I'm familiar with the 'pace' of playing Priest in small groups, but the debuff/ward sequence is undoubtedly different than the activities of an Inquisitor.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I can afford to outfit her fairly well - are there any particular Masters I should hunt down for her (up to about level 35, for now) that will make a noticeable difference?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'll mostly be lurking on this board, but I hope to contribute as I may. Thanks for all the great posts - I scoured the board for a couple of weeks before pulling the trigger.</DIV>

<DIV>If you are going to be soloing to 35, then your attack spells should be your primary focus, along with boosting INT along with your WIS. It's never a bad idea to upgrade any and all of your heal spells as far as they will go either. The "Plate" style of armor will boost your INT and WIS both, so it's a good idea to get that style as much as possible. The jewelry made from the gems of each tier also will boost both INT and WIS, so you'll want to have a full set of that as well.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So far as the buffs go, quizzies actually don't really buff much. We get a minor grp HP + resist buff, and a STA + mit buff. The mit is really nice, so I suggest upgrading that one if you can. Since you are already wearing plate, though, it's not terribly critical. The single target hp+ dps buffs is also nice, but since dps is just auto-attack weapon damage and priest melee really sucks in lower levels anyway, the only reason to upgrade that one is for more HP.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>You start with really basic attack spells -- 2 dots and a nuke. Pretty much just keep chaining HO's as best you can using them. Eventually you will get your "Repentance" line which will damage and stun a melee mob when it uses a CA against you and also your Vengeance line which is a sort of reverse damage shield. The mob hits you and takes damage. Those don't come until later, though, and the Repentance line is kinda situational. Once you eventually get all your spell lines and get them all ticking away on a mob, then a lot of numbers start flying really fast. That can be nice -- but it's a ways off yet. For now it's really gonna be "heal self, trigger HO, dot dot nuke, heal self, trigger ho, nuke dot, heal self, etc."</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>TBH, I hated my quizzie until her mid-30's actually. Then something "clicked" and she's now one of my favorites. That was about when I finally got all my various spell lines and began to see everything I could do with her, so. . . take that for what you will.</DIV>

<P>Thanks for the info, D-R-U. I doubt that I'll solo very often once I hit 16 or so; might as well take the fast route to the 30's. My Defiler suffered from the same malady as your Inq - she nearly got deleted at 36 because levelling here was slightly less enjoyable than a root canal, but I started P/U grouping to spam wards/heals in exchange for easy exps, and I talked my buddy into making a Zerker to run with her...now she's probably my best character. The reason I want to level another Priest is to make up for all the fun I missed by levelling the Defiler solo.</P> <P> </P> <P>Great alt list, by the way. Mine looks similar, but ranges from 28 to 46 for all the chars except for the new Quizzie. Thank heaven I learned my way around Nektropos - now it's easy/fast/profitable to go from lvl 32 up to around 40.</P>
