<DIV>Im currently multiboxing with a Inquisitor.</DIV> <DIV>This means that I don't always have full controll over when/if a spell procs.</DIV> <DIV>Now there are some spells that Im being doubtfull if they are usefull to me.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Now before I go shouting bug, help and soe hates me I would like to check this out a little more :smileywink:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Now (don't I say that alot) I have never used a parser and is wondering they are showing damage from each spell or just the user? Im looking for something simple that I can search thrue at the end of the day to see if the spells has proc or not.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The spells Im being doubtful of is lvl 46 Coerced Repentance </DIV> <DIV><A href="http://eq2.ogaming.com/db/abilities/CoercedRepentance.php" target=_blank>http://eq2.ogaming.com/db/abilities/CoercedRepentance.php</A></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>And lvl 43 Vengeance</DIV> <DIV><A href="http://eq2.ogaming.com/db/abilities/Vengeance.php" target=_blank>http://eq2.ogaming.com/db/abilities/Vengeance.php</A></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Anyone else that has any experience with these two spells?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<P>Vengeance isn't a proc.  You cast it on a mob and the next 5 successful hits it makes on you or one of your party *will* hurt it.  Period.  I have it at M2 and when I cast in a mob it does 204 damage for 5 hits.  If I get my Contempt (debuffs everything) and my Cleansing Flames on (debuffs divine in addition to the DoT), that number goes up to 243 per hit.  I see it hit in every fight.  Vengeance is one of my main damage spells.</P> <P>Coerced Repentance is a bit more situational.  It's not actually a proc either, but it has a very specific trigger.  That trigger is that the mob must use a "Combat Ability."  This means it's *worthless* against caster mobs, since they don't use CA's.  Against fighter/scout mobs which do use the CA's, though, I do see it go off.  It's actually very nice when soloing to see a mob try to throw its stun attack against you and take 400 damage and get stunned instead.  Meanwhile, I keep casting or meleeing merrily away. . . . .  Even so, most mobs don't use CA's all that often, so its use is a bit more limited.  I still cast it on known fighter/scout mobs anyway, just in case.</P> <P>Both work.  I cast Vengeance every fight no matter what, and Coerced Repentance most of the time.  After all, most mobs aren't casters, so it is of use against most of them.</P> <P>If I'm soloing, I pull with my hex doll, then hit Contempt, then Vengeance, then Cleansing Flames, then Coerced Repentance, trigger HO, Symbol of Corruption, Torment, then begin nuking with Merciless Invocation.  Once the DoT's wear off, refresh them, recasting Vengeance once it clears as well, popping in an Invocation in between.  Most solo mobs die around the time I get to the Invocation, though.  Pretty rare for me to actually need to refresh the DoT's when I'm solo.</P><p>Message Edited by DwarvesRUs on <span class=date_text>08-14-2006</span> <span class=time_text>02:34 AM</span>

<P>Thanks for the info.</P> <P> </P> <P>I definitiv needs to check out Vengeance then, I normaly cast it quite early in the fight and quite often it is still on the mob when it dies. And im pretty sure the mobs hits me more than 5 times, at least the amount of healing I have to do says so :smileywink:</P> <P>But Ill be more alert to when I fight mages and priest mobs also, no need to get grumfy over that a spell doesn't work when its not supposed to work on those classes. :smileytongue:</P> <P> </P> <P> </P>

<DIV>vengeance is only about 237 a hit, and it never procs, so i dont use it <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> </DIV> <DIV>compelled repen can hit alot higher, so i use that on yea, then i just throw affliction, absolving flames, and ho around with ruthless invoc and litany of anguish, and if its a real hard mob i start with debase <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

<DIV>what i mean to say is that i've seen Ruthless Invocation hit for over 1k if crit, thats already the same amount as all the 5 hits from vengeance, and as our dots are gone pretty quick, i just chain ho as much as i can with ruthless/dots and Litany of Anguish, i think my dps will be slightly higher doing that instead of casting vengeance meanwhile as it never crits and you cant start/finish a ho with it.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>and btw i meant crit instead of proc</DIV><p>Message Edited by Ghyro on <span class=date_text>08-19-2006</span> <span class=time_text>07:38 AM</span>

<P>Did some testing this weekend and both spells worked just fine for me.<BR>Was in permafrost and the golems there uses CA.</P> <P>Before I have been looking for the damage the spells says it should do.<BR>Now I started looking for the spell name instead and noticed that the damage differs from mob to mob (diff resists on them),<BR>so the damage number I was looking for didn't pop so often, which explains why I didn't thought it worked.</P> <P> </P> <P>Cheers all</P>
