I am deciding between a swashbuckler and an Inquisitor. The thing that is keeping me from making an Inquisitor is that they are priests and don't put out alot of damage so don't solo as well swashbucklers. So i would like to know if they can solo reasonable.

Any class can "solo". The differences is speed in killing and the highest type mob that you could solo kill. Sure you can solo an Inquistor, but priest classes, especially the cleric classes (Inquistor/Templar) shine in group situations.

Inquisitor take FOREVER to kill stuff with.If you're looking for monster madness killage I'd go with a swashbuckler. If you're looking for grandma style play-it-safe soloing I'd go with inquisitor.

By then you have all your DoT's, your damage shield, repentance line, plus your regualr nuke and your AoE. Add in your "Fate" line that hits the group of mobs in AE once the target dies and you can really start to see some numbers fly. Granted, it does take a little while to get all the spells cast, but once you are in the fight, it just seems to flow.

People see me soloing with my quizzie and examine me to see how the "nuker" is wearing plate armor and healing herself. Of course when I solo, I rarely need to heal myself -- the mobs die too fast. And yes, this is vs high yellow ^ mobs too. I *might* heal myself a time or 2 vs one of them.

Is it a ton faster to have even a duo? Of course, but the same holds true of every class. Even so, I have no problem at all with my quizzie's soloing speed. Not anymore, anyway. . .

Solo Inquisitors should use their buffs and debuffs effectively. A good place to start is with Consecrated Aura, which increases your health pool and combat attack damage. Inquisitors should cast Chilling Inquest on themselves to receive power from every successful attack they make or spell they cast. Use Woeful Penance to keep your health up during combat and supplement with direct heals as needed. For an encounter with multiple enemies, Heretic's Doom is a must. Concentrate on completing Heroic Opportunities to increase your damage through spells.
