View Full Version : Evidence of Verdict?

Has anyone ever seen any mention of Verdict or it's effects in the combat log when it is successful? I try to see if it fired or not and just come up blank. As far as I know this is the only spell in the entire game that has no mention in the log. I'm not talking about damage points either, which would be nifty, but just some mention that the mob was Verdicted or something.I do see resists in the log. For instance:<b>YOU try to smite Uustalastus Xiterrax with Verdict, but Uustalastus Xiterrax resists.</b>But I recast it on that fight (and on other fights as well) and I'd like to see what happened, if anything. Sometimes a big blue gavel just isn't enough. (sorry, it's nice, but is that all we get?)Maybe I'm just missing it, please help - or please put something in the logs Devs. Thanks,Tarta - 70 inquisitor - Guk<div></div>

If it resists or doesn't have time to hit, you won't see the animation finish. If the mob dies before the animation finishes then the 1.5 seconds didn't complete. The animation will still continue through though.</div>

Yup, never seen anything myself. I just Watch the pretty hammer fall and crush the mobs toes. <div></div>

There is a message. Its something like: Mob has been banished. But a little more verbose. It will appear before the kill shot.

And it doesn't show up on the parse either : /

I think we need to lobby for the damage being added to the logs. Should be pretty impressive <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

Oh yeah that would be nice to see on the parser at raids hehe Highest hit Ragefighter 45,000 Verdict Wounder how much DPS that would give <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> <div></div>

Lets assume this. An average raid mobs dies at about .5% per second. This may be less, but lets run with it. If this is true verdict takes 1.5seconds to "actually" go off. that would leave the mob with 0.5% HP left when verdict actuall hits. Now lets assume a 10K dps raid. thats equivant to a 5000 point hit. Not that much. Even if we give the mob twice teh HP and say he dies at .25% a seconds that is still only a 10,000 poin hit.Only if the raid is dieing and you have no more DPS up and the mob just barely reached that 2% will you get the large hit for 40K+. Which still isn't that much and most defintily not enough to log you high on the parser by itself alone. Lets say it hits for 40,000 points of damage in a 4min fight, thats a 166dps........[expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] in a bucket.<div></div>

Figure Decapitate is hitting in the 25k range AT BEST on most raids, and Ice Nova is probably around that as well, maybe a little more, it would give you the high hit for that raid <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P> <P>I think the biggest thing that a damage output would do, would be to help us in figuring out the timing on this. If every time we see it land for like 2k damage, we'd know that its landing just before the mob dies and we really are having a minimal impact. If its landing for like 10k or more each time, we know that we are in fact having a fairly measureable impact.</P> <P>Conspiracy Theory: Perhaps this is why they won't add it to the parse. They don't want us to see just how useless this spell is the vast majority of the time on raids.</P> <P>Incidentally, one place I'm finding this spell to be much more useful is mid-fight on mobs in the Nayad city. Some of those fights with 1 group can be a little rough, at least for us, who are still working our way through T7 (almost done with DT). This spell is great for knocking down some of the crazy adds in this instance.</P>
