<DIV>*looks at the dusty halls*</DIV> <DIV>*Rings a bell that seems exceptionally loud in the quiet temple*</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>OK, seems there aren't many Inquisitors, either that or they are very quiet and busy with their...Inquests...?!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>First a little background. I am a recent WoW convert. In WoW my main class was Warrior, but I have played a few healing classes there. I have a 16 Inquisitor on AB. I guess I thought it was a hybrid de-buff/off heal class. It appears I was mistaken. I have a few questions below and any guidance would be welcomed.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>1) It seems from the few groups I have been in that I am expected to Main Heal. Is that really the Inquisitor's role? It seems my heals are too slow for this.</DIV> <DIV>2) What is a good healing strategy? I have been leading with Bestowal of Vitae (Master II), followed by a Combat Healing, and Recovery if necessary. Is this a good strategy? The AoE heal and AoE Vitae seem to cost too much for the benefit they give. </DIV> <DIV>3) What stats should I focus on? I have been trying to focus on WIS and INT, but it seems that +INT does not benefit my healing spells. Is this correct? Does it boost my chance to crit with heals or give me any benefit to healing? Does +INT only benefit damage spells?</DIV> <DIV>4) Is there a good site or post to read that reviews the Inquisitor class and items to be sought out?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks in advance for any help.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>*looks around waiting for someone to pass by*</DIV>

Inquisitor heals are very good in terms of casting time/power cost vs amount healed. Defilers or Templars have much much longer casting times than we do.</font> </div> <div>2) What is a good healing strategy? After your tank has pulled the mobs, leading off with your single target reactive on him is good. Usually that buys me enough time to debuff the mob we're fighting. After that the reactive usually needs to be refreshed and the tank might need a little touching up. Beyond that it depends on how tough the mob we're fighting is. Group heal and group reactive are not as often used as your single target (assuming you have a fairly decent tank), but they are a lifesaver when you've got adds on the mages or got hit by a nasty AOE. It is very important that you upgrade all of your heal spells to at least adept 1, as well as your buffs and certain debuffs. Adept 1 is the minimum, Adept 3 or Master is better if you can afford it. It makes healing a lot easier and gives you more time to really use the skills you've been given, instead of spamming heals constantly because all your stuff is app1. </font> </div> <div>3) What stats should I focus on? Does +INT only benefit damage spells? <font color="#ff0000">-- As a healer you should focus on wisdom and power above and beyond any other stat. Wisdom increases your power pool and helps with resists. Beyond that it depends on your play style. If you solo a lot, STA and STR or INT will come in handy, depending on if you're going for the melee AA setup or spell damage. INT (as far as I know) doesn't affect your healing spells at all. Your AA choices (crit heal chances), your ministration skill (less fizzles) and your spell upgrades (bigger heal) are the only things that will effect your healing.</font> </div> <div>4) Is there a good site or post to read that reviews the Inquisitor class and items to be sought out? <font color="#ff0000">-- I'm not really sure on this. I know there is a spell list with all the spells we get stickied along with some other stuff, and I thought there was also a post for good loot, though I think that was mostly focused on endgame loot. You might have to do a bit of digging for that one. I've never heard of any real "reviews" on a class though.</font> </div> <div> </div> <div>Thanks in advance for any help.</div> <div> </div> <div>*looks around waiting for someone to pass by*</div><hr></blockquote><div></div><p>Message Edited by MokiChan on <span class="date_text">08-07-2006</span> <span class="time_text">09:01 AM</span></p><p>Message Edited by MokiChan on <span class=date_text>08-07-2006</span> <span class=time_text>09:03 AM</span>

If there is one piece of advice I would give, it would be to not neglect your debuffs. In the early levels if I found myself having a hard time keeping up it was mostly due to the tank not having very good gear. Now days it's much better but when the game first came out, I can't tell you how many tanks still had equipment from newbie island still equiped. Also, harvest for rares so you can upgrade your spells to adept 3. Heals, then buffs. Picking a heal as your master II choice is never a bad idea.<div></div>

Also you'll find power to be a huge problem early on. When I rerolled my inquis for PvP I was amazed at how much more power comes into play (either I forgot, or the new mechanics changed it from when I first had a low level inquis).Try to find as much +wis/power gear as you can early on. It doesn't take much to make a huge difference in your power pool. That one or two extra heals will make a big difference. At least early on, don't worry about downtiering your armor. Yes you can wear plate, but if you find a piece of chain with good stats/power don't be afraid to wear it. It might affect your soloing, but probably not a ton at the low levels, and if you're grouped mitigation doesn't much matter.Depending on how fast you plan to level, investing in 1-2 adept3's early will be very helpful. If you're not going to just level quickly up to a higher tier, then they will provide a lot of efficiency. If you plan to grind quickly, it might be worth it to save the money on the rares until you get a little higher level.Higher quality spells adept 1 > adept 3 > Master 1 > Master 2 spells are more efficient. For the same power you get more healing or damage per cast.<div></div>
