Group makeup

I am starting to play EQ2 with my mates and so far we have.. Wizard Zerker Assassin And so we need a healer... I like the look of both inquisitor and fury and didn't know which to pick. I basicly want to be the best healer without going templar as everyone is going Evil and I dont want to mess about. We want to do Heroics and some of the harderquests rather than just grind etc. Is Inquisitor going to help me on the harder quests more than a Fury ?? Thanks MoleH <div></div>

If you want pure capabilities, defiler > inquisitor.  Defilers stop the mob from doing damage; debuffs - slow/enfeeble & ward - prevent damage. Additionally, the defilers will bost your tank's HPs by a tremendous amount.  Much more than an inquisitor.OTOH, inquisitor is the best offensive healer.  Don't listen to the bandwagon that fury is the best.  Inquisitor - in the endgame - does more damage for less power and more importantly they buff the group big time.Defiler & Inquisitor are the best healers, especially in the mid & endgame.  IMO defiler > inquisitor though.  But I am biased, I have a defiler alt.  Your group with 3 of the top damage classes in the game will be fine with either.<div></div>

Thanks for all your replies they have been very usful. I have chosen an Inquisitor and are enjoying it. tbh I did think hard about a defiler but I was not sure if they could cut it as the sole healer in a group that wanted to push itself into doing hard heroics? I have grouped with a few defiler's after choosing my player and I do appreciate having plate armour as if the defiler gets agro I fidn it hard to heal them (I find healing myself if things start going wrong doable). Now I am still low level and the people I am grouping with are learning to play just like I am so I am not sure if my last statment is ganerally the case but plate is always going to be easyer for me to heal <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> I do find that getting my hands on plate is hard due to needing to fit out our tank 1st. But overall enjoying it and I am now level 19 Thanks again <div></div>
