Hi folks, I am just writing in response to forum posts on here which suggest we are a good solo class. I was in Nek Castle last night trying to solo some quests. I am a 46 Inquisitor. To cut a long story short, level 33 grey heroics were owning me. To kill a group of level 39 mobs(non-heroic) generally takes 5 minutes. I am throwing everything at the mobs. Debuffs, Dots, DDs. I'm really discouraged as I find it hard to find groups for specific quests. I am trying to clear my older quests up, and I am getting owned doing it. Any advice would be appreciated. <div></div>

<div></div>First It would be nice to know what versions of spells you are using and what you equipement is. Which Debufs do you use? What is your normal tactic? Do you use HOs? I only habe handcrafed equipement and Adept 1 spells, but I did neven have any such problems by now. <div></div>

Is your defense skill at max? Using heavy armor? <div></div>

Use HO's when casting your DOTs, that should increase your damage and help you kill things faster. No reason not to use a HO whenver possilbe while soloing, more damage and the DOTs will still fire. For soloing, i generally pull with a debuff, then trigger a HO and fire off 2 DOTs, add another debuff (if necessary) while waiting to trigger another HO, then fire off the other 2 DOTs that I have. Then I just repeat that and throw in a reactive as needed. Nightwound - 42 Inquisitor Grobb <div></div>
I just recently solo'd the entire Missing Mask quest in Nek Castle at level 45. The heroic encounters do take a while to kill, but I was never in fear of dying. Like you, I have all Adept 1 spells. I did manage to collect enough money to recently purchase an imbued ebon BP and legs, and also an imbued cedar shield. Everything else is either handcrafted fulginate or a regular drop item. Do you have an imbued wand? They are actually pretty decent for melee, plus you have the right click damage spell that helps a lot. I ended up buying a fire imbued teak wand since at the time I could only debuff elemental resistance. Since everything in Nek Castle is grey I just use my AC/Elemental debuff. I try to keep Act of Belief up throughout the fight as well. I typically pull with Torment, then an HO with Cruel Invocation and Cleansing Flames, then Contempt, then HO again with Symbol of Corruption and usually Torment since it's probably worn off from the pull, and repeat as necessary. I may throw Harrowing Inquest in there as well to help drain the mob's power a little faster and add that arcane debuff. I will use my reactives when my health starts getting a little low, but since they are grey sometimes the reactive wears off before they hit you enough to use all the charges. The Splitpaw heal works pretty nice since it gives you the chance to get some power back when you cast it. If power starts getting low I'll use my wand for damage while my power builds back up a bit. <div></div>

Hey guys, I might just group with an Inquisitor sometime and see how they play. It could just be that I don't like fighting the same target for longer than a minute when it is 9 levels below me. I think I'll get to 50 and roll a zerker. <div></div>

<DIV> <DIV>first of all what heroics in nek castle are killing you? you are 10-13 lvls over those mobs could probably kill them with half/no armor</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I can solo blue heroics at lvl 50. have all crafted ebon armor with GEBs (mana regain boots quest starts off goblin in LS)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I will buff with cleric and inquisitor buffs so i get more proc %s (dosn't add much more) </DIV> <DIV>I normaly pull using harrowing inquest (had a lucky roll on a raid and got the Master version) then chain either HOs with smite or the lvl 18 smite and use either a low lvl reactive or my T5 reactive when needed depends on what the mobs hit for. if its lower then 100 damage why use the T5 for more mana....</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>i have a kind of large selection of weapons/secondary slot items.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Royle great flail (fabled 2H Flail with 3.8sec attack speed. procs a lot)</DIV> <DIV>A 1H version of RGF (a hammer from MoTM with same exact proc)</DIV> <DIV>An Imbued cedar wand Cold damage because i only had 1 resistance debuff at that time. (great for kiting if used with the AGI hex doll)</DIV> <DIV>Tartons Wheel (nice +wis/mana)</DIV> <DIV>Imbued cedar buckler (use for solo stuff for added avoidence)</DIV> <DIV>Prismatic scepter (mostly use in long raids where mana is low)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I know my gear is not the avg. healers equipment (maybe most tanks hehe) but it should work just as good with normal gear if you save mana for heals. I would first say upgrade your BP to best imbued crafted you can to get the Heal proc. helps heal most small hits when it procs i think my ebon heals for around 50 hp for a short time. then i guess go for the shield or legs (imbued also) and a wand. wands cost no mana but have a long casting time. can also be cast when running. Get lots of proc stuff to make more damage. Use your emergancy heals when low on power and near death. every fight takes a long time. if i want to solo a blue ^^ in PF it could take like 10min not worth it imo. hehe just do it when waiting for groups or raids to form.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>We are like a weaker Paladin/SK with better heals and no swards...... mix in some CC and buffs and we seem to be a mix of a few classes (crusader, some Enchanter maybe a bit of dirge-ness) we mana drain, fear, root, sitfel, heal, buff, debuff, have mental/divine/heat DoTs/AE nuke, and a few procs to top it off. Inquisitors are getting some nice upgrades in revamp this comes with some nerfs but its for the good of the game. soon the forums will be flooded with new ways to play inquisitor. so some if not all of my info could be different in a few weeks.</DIV></DIV>

One of the girls that you get the locket off - she was in a zombie form. I forget her name. She almost floored me. We were fighting for about 5 minutes. I need to look at getting better weapons perhaps. My current weapon is green fabled. I'm not good with names... Although I should have the screaming mace to replace it soon. <div></div>
Did you take the L40 stifle spell? If you did, just keep it on her. Its the old school stifle ability... =) without casting she'd kill herself on your HP buff's damage shield.
Personally I wouldnt waste time on your DD spells at all. They are pretty much a waste of mana. When I solo I cycle my DoTs to keep getting HOs off. Basically if you took the level 40 stifle you have 4 effective DoTs. Start an HO with the level 40 stifle then finnish with one of the other 2. Start the next HO with the other stifle that got nerfed, the recast on this line of spells is nothing so it will be up as soon as you need it, then finnish with your last DoT. Repeat til mob is dead tossing in reactive heals as needed. <div></div>
