I have finished the Inq Trial and currently about 5% away from becoming a Inquistor. <BR>I was wondering for lvl 20-25, is it worth the hassle to do the AQ quests? or is it better to just buy crafted items and get equipment from non AQ quests?<BR><BR>There are not that many Inquistors, on my servers so I can't really just peek at their gear to see what their status look like with various combinations of armor. <BR><BR>Thanks for your suggestions and help <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><p>Message Edited by EvilMissKitty on <span class=date_text>12-20-2004</span> <span class=time_text>03:09 PM</span>

Yes, you can have better AC not doing the Armor Quests. But, you give up a lot of power. I didn't check the numbers but I'd say the AQ's gives you around an additional 120 power over player crafted stuff. If you play tank more than healer, by all means, get more AC. But (I've said it before), we are healers/casters. Play your character like one.Today I grouped with a fellow inquisitor who had 120 more AC than me at same level. Turns out I had over 200 more power than him.

Do the armour quests, they are by far your best option for most slots. Gauntlets of Hate from Fallen Gate are better gauntlets, but the other 5 armour items are your best option till the high 20s.

<DIV>I purchased the last 3 armor items player made at 20.  That way I didn't get spanked quite as hard durnig the AQ's.  The AQ items are about 10-15% better than the equivelent player made items.  The player made items will stay colored longer though.  The nice thing about the AQ is that it is a nice goal oriented way to travel through the 20-25/26 level range.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

Not sure about the other pieces, but I had pristine carbonite greaves and replaced them with the quested greaves, because they had better ac, power, and health.</DIV>

<DIV>The AQ are worth doing.  I got almost a whole set of Player crafted gear already.  As I work though the AQ's, I will just sell a crafted piece on Brokers.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Certain pieces are better than crafted, some are not.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Like stated though, the AQ's kinda direct you though certain explorative areas.  It is a lot better to grind with a goal, than to just grind to grind.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I did AQ3 and 4 last night.  Due to the level of the tank, many mobs were grey (26 Guardian), but I was still able to earn 62% to lvl 23.  Not bad getting 2 quests done, and that much XP.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>It can be frustrating, but it really helps to go into higher areas, and test your skills.  Plus, you will have so many cross quests in these areas, that almost anything you kill, will give some quest update....if you are a quester, and like more xp for your time that is.</DIV>

<DIV>I mention this all the time when people ask about AQs.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>For the love of Cazic, don't ask whether AQ's are worth doing or not.  AQs are put there to get you to go to those zones.  Explore them, enjoy them.  You will eventually get your AQs done and move on to the next, in a different zone.  Don't just kill AQ mobs, but have a look around and smell the roses (or sewage like in EW).  You should always be looking for upgrades to equipment, so fill in some slots with purchased equipment as appropriate - you can always sell them later.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
