2 handed staff requiered. Have to be a staff?

When you examine a weapon it will list the type of wepon it is. If an AA requires a 2h staff, it's a good bet that it will require.... a 2h staff.<div></div>

It doesn't have to say staff in the title, but down below every weapon lists what type of weapon it is considered, and to use that achievement ability, it has to say staff in it's weapon type description.  If it says something other than staff (like hammer), it will not let you use that acheivement attack.
