<DIV>i know this has been discussed before but.....</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>i usually put this on a group member using one of our concentration slots.</DIV> <DIV>however given the very low proc rate on this is it still worth it ?</DIV> <DIV>recent parses would indicate the amount of heals this is doing is pretty pointless.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>does anyone else still use it regularly ?</DIV> <DIV>or should i simply stick another Redoubt on someone ?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>have opinions changed regarding this ?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>i personally would like to see soe up the proc rate given that its such a small heal amount anyway......</DIV> <DIV>something like the 20% we get on Mark and Involuntary would be nice ! </DIV> <DIV>or maybe making it group/raid wide ! go on soe you know you want to....<img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV><p>Message Edited by StevusX on <span class=date_text>01-03-2007</span> <span class=time_text>11:34 AM</span>

<P>I normally put it on the assassin in my group.</P> <P>I have the AA maxed that increases proc rate but it still doesn't proc very much. :smileyindifferent: I am thinking about respecing out of it and using the 6 points for something else.</P>

<P>Agreed, it's not that useful, I would much rather have more axp points in unyielding benediction than GoC, and depending what your group makeup is and what you're fighting, you may be better off putting holy redoubt on a third person rather than using GoC. GoC barely ever procs, and the + to slash/pierce/crush and +hp of holy redoubt helps melee classes a lot.</P> <P>They should either make it proc off of any attack, not just melee attacks, or up the proc rate, because it only procs 1 or 2 times a fight.</P>

It depends on what group you're in. If you have someone with high melee proc rate (assassin for example) put it on them. It procs about 3-5 times a raid battle, that 4 group heals you don't have to do. Check your parse, it goes off more than you think.
do you guys find it procs alot on brawlers? cause I put it on a bruiser and it was doing about 3-6% of my healing per encounter

My alt is a 70 bruiser. Reactives don't go off on them so often because they tank by not getting hit, when they do, they get hit hard. So a reactive isn't bad to slow how much damage they take per hit, but you really need to focus on a more direct system of healing. Here's the nice kicker. We bruisers can do DPS and chew through power, fast. In fact it's the only major fault of the class I can see. So I use a lot of reverence in these instances. With the blessings line on a grouped templar, I see more procs than damage from bp, head, earring, boots, gloves, pants and primary, secondary weapons. Generally, I proc a hell of a lot, approximately 33% of my damage. When I have a monk in group or a haster, these numbers seem to shoot up and the percentage raises it approximately 3-5% so I would say monks (with burning flame line) are just as effective with it.

I use it a lot and sometimes it heals quite a bit. I don't have any aa's into it and I still think it is worth it. Especially if the dirge has the spell proc aa (like out item proc aa), which increases all your proc spells. It seems a little hit or miss though. Sometimes I see it healing 8-12%, sometimes 2%, sometime 0%. I figure if there is no one that really needs the extra hp buff, I am not going to turn down free group heals <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><div></div>

The question is what else are you going to cast in its place? Extra Redoubts is the only competition, so thats what I normally do, and those +skills & HP aren't going to exactly make or break the group/raid either. The proc rate is pretty low - even on the highest parsing meleer (assasin) in a raid, I've only seen it represent a couple of % of my heals. I do only have it at adept3 though now, as I respecced away from M2, after it was nerfed. It used to proc like crazy if you were in a melee dps group, but SoE as always, nerfs with a heavy hand.<div></div>

With a Dirge and Swash/Assassin in my group, if i have it on two toons, it accounts for 12-14% of my heals. I have the extra points in it from the blessings line, and it is M1. The dirge also has Luck of the Dirge (extra 25% proc)

<P>I have come to the conclusion that <EM>in general </EM>its not worth using <EM>unless </EM>you are in a group able to maximise the proc rate <EM>and </EM>have put AA's etc into it as mentioned above.</P> <P>In a less than optimal group and AA setup though i believe it is pretty worhtless.</P> <P>On the last zonewide parse i have it was on a swashy the entire time - it proced roughly once per fight for an average heal of 356</P> <P>Fairly pointless imo - thats the equivalent of one tick of a reactive per fight.</P> <P>so in future i think i will simply put an extra Redoubt on someone - not ideal either but the extra slash/pierce/crush will help a scout dps or the extra health might keep someone alive if they get aggro.</P> <P>Maybe at some point soe will relook at the usefulness of this spell and revamp it like they did Mark.</P> <P>Until then its getting relegated to just those rare optimal situations......and i certainly am not sticking AA's into it. :smileyindifferent:</P> <P> </P>

<DIV>Yeah, if you're in the MT group, and have no brawlers, and only scout is a bard, it's not worth it imo. However if you do have a fast hitting person in your group, I'd definetly use it.</DIV>

<DIV>well really the usefulness of glory is the group makeup. A zerker/bruiser combo with glory almost halved how much i had to heal. (group not raid) Scouts tend to have very low weapon delays so the chance of glory proccing is lower with them. Usually I use 2 glory and 1 holy redoubt since the HP only help the MT and the +cursh/pierce/slash is rarely needed unless the mob is conning yellow/orange. Raiding I may drop the glory for HP if there is a hard hitting AE.</DIV>
