Hello all,

I am looking to collect some info about a few classes and would like to know what buff spells templars have that use a % chance to trigger. The reason for this is I am trying to work out how useful some of the spells that increase trigger % chances are. I am also trying to work out who in a MT group should have % increasing things cast on them. Therefore I am not particularly interested in debuffs that give the mob a % chance of having something bad happen to them.

If you have the time can you please tell me the spells, what they do and what their trigger % chance is? In particular I would like to know about the trigger % for the buff that absorbs the next attack.

Thanks in advance,

-Kytar

Message Edited by Unwise on 01-01-2007 08:28 PM

Of priests Templars are pretty much the kings of lotto stuff, so "Luck of the Dirge" if thats what you are talking about would be very useful. As a Dirge its the most appealing EoF AA line anyway?

Unyielding Benefaction (stoneskin) 12% chance to proc @ A3 (with 6 pts in EoF AA line)

Mark of the Celestial (raid wide heal proc on melee attack) 30% chance to proce a 49x4 heal over 8sec @ M2 (5pts in EoF AA line) which is already enough for continuous healing for some meleers in some situations.

Involuntary Restoration (group heal proc on MT being hit) 3.9/min for 226-276 @ M1 (Another 10% = 4.3/min? with 5pts in Eof AA line)

Glory of Battle (heavily nerfed group heal on melee attack - 1conc slot per member so not used so much) 1.0/min @A3 (Another 2% = 1.02/min for 6pts?)

Templars do have their own proccing EoF AA line - 'Blessings', the last ability of which is supposed to increase groups item proc rates by 25%, but may also work on some spells, according to posts I've seen. I only have 12pts in Templar EoF AA, so some of the above may be incorrect (I find my other chars including Dirge more fun to play these days)

Thanks for the excellent info folks.

Mystics get a spell that increases proc rates by 3% for one person. This got me curious about who it was best to cast it on. If it is cast on the dirge, the groups stoneskin chance goes up by 3% for everyone. I just wanted to see if casting it on a templar may be a better idea, but I am not sure if a buff cast on another person would increase if you used that ability on a templar. I suspect it only works like that for group buffs. I was suprised to find out how some of your spells work, I had thought that some of those were debuffs on the mob that made them heal you.

I am getting the 'Luck of the Dirge' AA regardless, but it is always good to know how it effects my groupmates. Looks like it will be very nice with a templar.

It probably is better on a dirge, since they have several melee procs as well as the stoneskin we both share(ours is single). It also depends on how many proc items a person has... I try to get every proc item I can to add random heals... tanks sometimes pick up +threat procs as well, and they may be a logical choice. And we do indeed have several debuffs that make the mob more or less heal you... Antryg Mistrose's desciptions are perhaps confusing(for Mark and Involuntary). Mark is a debuff placed on the mob which has a base chance(modded by AA) of 20% that a melee striking the mob will get a regen. Involuntary placed on the mob gives the mob a base 20% chance(modded by AA) upon landing a melee/CA/spell to proc an AE(blue AE which hits any friendly target, even out of group/raid) direct heal.

Their stoneskin is one spell, and sure it is group wide, but only one char normally benefits from it. The Tomb line is their only other spell proc (unless there are a whole lot of new spell lines at higher levels - my dirge is 53) and is one that dirges hardly ever cast anyway. (Pity a class that has 10 spell lines competing for concentration slots). If the spell does apply to item procs too, then it depends who has the best/most. That is likely to be a mage or SK in my experience.
