I just came back to eq2 after more then a year off and made a new Templar on a PVP server.

Everything has been great so far and healing as usual is always a blast. My problem is simple, when I fight "people" I cannot use my heroics and I cannot kill anyone. I don't die, it's just a painfully LONG battle that never seems to end since I cannot put out the damage. I am also not certain about all these new AA points and where to put them. I put some points in wisdom for the mana pool and some in the reactive trauma cure. I usually play with my friends and rarely if ever solo so my primary goal is healing. I just want to know what all you other templars do for DPS. I use a 1h and shield btw.

Thanks in advance.

one thing to consider is to build up 2 sets of gear

- one for when in a group healing, the other when soloing and dps is wanted.

I have several pieces i swap out depending what i want to do.

with AA's look at the line that gives you melee and heals crits - stamina i think.

depending on what weapon you favour look at first parts of str or agi lines as well

Personally though i only put just enough into dps AA's to assist when soloing writs etc - you are not going to be a dps "king" unless you significantly limit your healing ability.

There are some very good threads on this forum on the different "builds" you can try - seek them out young templar !
