Hi,please read my whole post and don't just think, this is another post about "GET WIS, DAMMIT".I know, we need power and the power of mind to control it, which means WIS and INT. So I got myself a cobalt armor, with STA, WIS and INT on every piece. Now my AGI is down to 24, and if I finish my plan to get pearl jewelry and a cambric sash, I have STA, WIS and INT only on nearly (2 pieces are drops I won't change) every armor piece. This will mean my STR and my AGI is down.I often play solo, so I am often confronted with a big mob surrounding and hitting me. Which means I should at least have some AGI to avoid some of the attacks. And to hit 'em hard with my prismatic scepter I need some STR.So what to do? For groups it's definitly a good idea to have it all with WIS and INT, but is it generally a good idea for a templar to go with that or should I bring some STR and AGI in play? And if so, how much do I need so it has a recognizable effect but doesn't affect my templar healing skills? I really don't want to carry around two sets, so maybe someone can give me some hints, what to get my templar.

Actually, INT is not really a requirement for Templars all that much. All it does is increase our spell damage slightly.I personally am slightly low on Agi, but I plan on changing that, STR is really easy to get up, but I think agi is slightly more important in groups. Solo it doesn't really matter all that much, but str won't help all that much, so agi is likely a better choice.Just my 2 cp

Heres what I go for..... in order of importance

PVP = Mitigation, Resists (poison disease mental magic), Base stats, Power pool (wis + power)

General grouping in instance zones = Power pool, Flowing Thought, Stats (or mitigation if its a pickup group - never know how the agro control is going to work out)

Raids = Flowing Thought, Power pool, Mitigation (for trash mobs) -and - Resists, Flowing thought, Power pool (for boss mobs)

In all cases I always have multiple items to increase power regen when needed (mana stone, vessel, mana potions, helm proc, etc)

And yes i have 3 full rosewood boxes full of gear :smileysad: I use to switch out. Half the time I forget whats in them!!!

Wis and Sta are our two main stat pools. As a defensive healer, wearing plate, the more damage you can soak the better. Tertiary stat is either Int or Str, it mainly depends on whether your focusing on your spell or melee damage.... personally I find it better to increase Int. Agility is useless for us. It really doesn't matter how much you put in it, at most you'll get 3-4%. Rather large increase over what we have, relatively, but practically no difference in combat.I agree for the most part with what NummieShin said, except for raids, though I have to explain this slightly as well. For raids, actual stat wise you want Wis and Sta again. Your job isnt to do damage, so ignore the other 3 stats. Nummie sorta has Wis in there, as all wis does is increase Power and Resists. Secondly, we really need HP as well, which is where STA comes in. It's secondary to wisdom, unless you get one-shotted you can always heal yourself, but having a high amount of hp is important too. Luckily, from my point of view at least, most raid level gear for us has Wis and Sta and either Int or Str, plus a high base hp/power stat as well.

Agree with above. WIS and STA-I am always looking for power and hp. When the battle comes to an end I want to still be standing and casting. The only other stat I realy worry about is STR. Good for the heavy armor and carrying a bunch of #@$%

Grimmsdahl, Level 70 Templer, Nek Server
