View Full Version : Is it just me?
I have to admit I still love playing my templar but I am getting more and more the feeling that we are getting subpar with all other healing classes.Specially now with the eof aas it seems that the devs think we are stupid.I don't get why they give another healing class root now and we end up with an aa that enhances a lvl 35 ancient spell which I have used once if I remember right.I don't see why wearing plate is still an advantage for us.I don't see why we have so many situational spells (our smites and the reactives who I think will be less helpful with the new avoidance changes)We are only slightly better in case of hp buffing - it's hardly worth mentioning..I have to admit though that I never played another healer class myself but I have grouped with them and I do understand their mechanics well.I also understand that all other healing classes are equally frustrated. I just don't see the real benefit of playing a templar anymore. Yes we do have big heals but they take incredibly long to cast and in a fight with a hard hitting mob they won't be fast enough most of the time (except maybe with DR)I just...blah..feel frustrated after reading the beta forums and hope someone can renew my fate in our class. Even tell me I was wrong to whine because I missed something..<div></div>

Your AAs are, believe it or not, at least 200% more focused on increasing your actual healing power than any other "healer class" AAs are. I attribute this to the fact that SOE, via these AAs, is trying to refine the secondary class aspects of each class; inquisitors are getting debuffs increased and a melee dps increase, wardens/furies are getting screwed over with stupid root/sow crap. There is only one class that is actually picking up significant healing improvement (as doubtful as you may be of this), and that's templars.I'm not here to tell you that your AAs are good, because honestly I have no idea how much those procs help you guys, and that's what's being upgraded for the most part, but before you despair, go check out the other healer AA lines, because no one else is getting anything even remotely significant as far as heals go (in fact, I believe other healer 'heal' upgrades are limited entirely to emergency spells).</div>

I think our AA's are pretty good honestly. There are other priest classes that have healing increases too, and some are actually attached to thier direct heals (Fury I think) and I think the Mystic gets heal increases too.Our AA's heal increases are ALL based on procs, or chance lotto-type heals (cure reactives - which aren't even working properly yet). While I am somewhat happy that we are actually getting heal increases, I don't think it will equate to 200% more than other healing classes. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />Honestly, if we didn't get this with EoF...I was going to switch classes, or wait for Vanguard. We were way overdue for something like this. <div></div>

Also with Adornments we are heal monsters ( heck even without ). Oih, yes, I have to apologize. To my excuse I have to admit I didn't check out all the changes to our tree since my computer died.Given the fact that all the aas are actually working as intended and if I understand them right then the blessing line seems to be quite powerful combined with adorments. As far as I remembered that tree branch it was only an enhancement for some of our lotto heals.Waddya know - assumptions and typing too fast can be bad. Still it remains to be seen if those are working as intended.<div></div>
