<DIV>Is there a way to interrupt your cast on purpose? For example I am casting a long cast nuke and need to interrupt it to cast a quick heal how is that handled? I tried to "search" for an answer but came up blank. Thanks for the help.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Pipea 23 Templar</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

spacebar / jump<div></div>
<P>ESC is the preferred way. The problem with spacebar/jump is there can be times, especially while swimming, that pressing spacebar does not interrupt the cast.</P> <P>ESC will also interrupt hex doll casts.</P>

The fastest way if you need to cast that heal/cure RIGHT NOW is to use macros. Two drawbacks though - hotbar space, and you can't queue it/cancel_spellcast (not sure about capitals - type c a n c el <tab> and you will get the correct spelling)/usea Cure TraumaI have this on my primary (keyboard accessible without <alt><shift> hotbar), and sub it out for group cure arcane if doing an MoA run<span></span><div></div>

Not no way not no how. The FASTEST and most efficient ways to interrupt a spell are to do one of the following: Jump and begin casting your next spell as you start falling Taking a small step in any direction<b> Hitting X twice rapidly, the sit key << My personal favorite choice</b> Hotkeys take up too much hotbar space when there's quicker methods and can be cumbersome to click / remember the hotbar key. Hitting ESC not only interrupts your spell, but it makes you lose target. <div></div>

<DIV>I jump as there is rarely a time swimming where I need to interrupt myself; if there is I swim back or forward till interrupted. Jumping is the quickest way on land as the new cast starts in mid air - the act of jumping interrupts, landing does not. I have numlock 0 set to jump for my scout (I use the directional arrows to move and not the numpad or letters) so it works well for both toons.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV><p>Message Edited by Moonsoldier on <span class=date_text>11-09-2006</span> <span class=time_text>08:52 PM</span>

The Sit key is the be-all canceler. You can even start casts from sitting and it will autostand you. There is a animation delay, but you do actually cast it immediatly then the game stands your toon and starts the casting animation.I even have the 5th mousebutton , on the side of my mouse, set to that for that exact purpose. Many a time I am casting Dolly onto a mob and needing to heal. Usually I Frail them first and start the dolly as its cast time is Frail's duration... <div></div>

Can't understand the debate. A hotkey with /cancel_spellcast and the new spell you want to cast macroed is ONE KEYSTROKE. Funny how you think there is anything faster. You aren't using a mouse are you? That WOULD slow things down<div></div>

Agreed. Nothing is faster than /cancel_spellcast macro. I have my most beneficial spells on the keys 9, 0, - and = and my cures on ctrl. With my fingers on those and my thumb on the ctrl key, I can cast my cures instantly with ctrl+, ctrl= etc and I am always faster than those that jump/cast.
