<DIV>Just the other day we were in Lyceum, clearing out the trash, for most of which I was on DPS duty. We're fighting one of the single targets that spawn in the hallways (The undead Droags.) And I got pretty lucky on double attacks, so I figured I'd parse pretty high, and I ended up outdpsing the whole raid. (Managed to pull together 1451 dps, love Cacophany and Berserk.)</DIV> <DIV><IMG alt="Image Hosted by ImageShack.us" src="http://img142.imageshack.us/img142/9780/templardpsbl6.png" border=0></DIV> <DIV>I play on a PvP server, meaning no Freeportian classes, so I started to wonder, how much dps has everyone else gotten, especially those who raid with brigands?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As a side note, the weapon I use is the Vraksakin Claw Club and I have the DPS and crit achievements.</DIV>

You sure your Summoners weren't just screwing with you and naming their pets after you? Raid Templars can do some decent dps, but dishing out 1.4k damage a second is a little unbelievable without knowing the setups, mob fought, duration of the fight etc. <div></div>

<div></div>I don't think I've ever gotten that high personally.  I usually don't even care about DPSing, but some days do get boring.  I remember one time getting 850DPS in Labs, I think it was.  Pet out, minimal healing, Cacophony active for part, haste item, Vraksakin 2h, berserker in group, 4pts in DPS mod, 4pts in crit hits.  I can only assume a brigand was there.  I admit putting another 8-16 pts in DPS related things could have put me higher... but I'm not sure I'd ever get near 1400DPS.  Even with different people in my group.  Maybe I should search for that in my logs and analyse it.<div></div>

<DIV>Well, as I said I did get lucky on double attacks (Probably 50% of my attacks hit twice.) We were fighting undead (So Holy Strike was boosted, though mine is master 1 I only have around 120 int in a group.)  Though 800 DPS isn't incredibly uncommon from me on single target fights where I don't have to do much healing. And we didn't have any summoners, so I think it's pretty safe to say there weren't any boosting my numbers (Wasn't there a somewhat recent change to ACT to have pets added directly to their owner's? I never see my hammer show up on parses even in groups.) I did use my hammer, and I got it out before cacophany. The fight lasted about a minute I think, not much longer than Unswerving Hammer's duration.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Really it was a lot of luck and a good setup, but I thought I'd start a fun thread and see if anyone has gotten higher, and if so by how much.</DIV>

<div></div>So I went looking and I found it... seems the people who told me, were slightly lying.  My personal DPS was ~850 while my ExtDPS was 770.  But that's okay because I found a more fun example where I did 1106/695... 2nd place sorted by DPS(not damage) for a 35s fight vs a firedrake. [100% tohit, 66% melee crit, 28% double atk]Blade Chime didn't end up making up that much of my damage.  The problem with high delay weapons is that you'll only hit so many times in the 12s it allows.  I think my pet got lucky that battle too, because he made up 56% of my damage, and even made better use of dirge procs.Another fun time was against Euktrzkai Amdaatk(48s)... a weaker named is hard to find if he doesn't get his AEs off.  Did 1032/774 (DPS/ExtDPS) on him.  I actually maintained 1220DPS on him for 15 seconds somewhere in the middle.  My pet only made up 42% of my damage that time. [89% tohit, 63% melee crit, 0% double atk].  Could have been better... my non-crits were 51,118, 1152... the lower two hurt my chances. With all of my talk of DPS verses ExtDPS... I guess I have to ask the original poster... which type were you talking about?  Since there's a considerable difference sometimes.<div></div>

<DIV>It's ExtDPS, but doing DPS the whole time makes ExtDPS and DPS essentially the same thing.</DIV>
