View Full Version : Where to solo for a 37 Templar ?

I've recently come back to EQ2 from a long break ( 1.5 years) and I'm finding it a struggle to find groups at all.

Last night for example /who all 35 45 lfg resulted in just me. After 3 hours slowly grinding quests, I never did get

a group invite.

My gear is probably very poor, I don't have much gold to upgrade it either, although I've been lucky in my current

healing spells are master2, master 1 and adept 3 but offensive spells are just app4 or worse.

So where do I hunt at this level ?, I've been doing various quests in Enchanted lands. It's risky if I try any up arrow mobs

regardless if there green, groups of mobs I also have similar problems, too many interrupts. I generally have no trouble

killing solo mobs a few levels below me but it seems to take forever to kill, going through 5 or more HO's.

Obviously I'd prefer to be grouped, just seems everyone is all twinked out now or have high level alts to help them.

Bors 37 Templar

Prexus

37 I'd try Zek and EL as you probably have been doing. You are fast approaching the T5 threshold so might be able to do a couple things in Feerott. Be patient, because it'll be rough the next few levels. Maybe also Splitpaw if you have it, just for a change of scenery.

As for your gear? Selling harvest rares and collection items are a great way to make some cash but it will cost you some time. Good luck!

Passive LFG searching virtually never works well. Take charge of your group search. Use the 30-39 channel to ask around for a group or to start up a group. Hunt in or around dungeons you'd like to participate in since most have solo areas near the entrance. For example, hunt in the entrance to Runnyeye or Rivervale, all while running the initial quests you can pick up right there.

I to hate when it’s hard to get a group as a templar.

It was a while since my templar was 37 but isn’t RoV a good place for you to be?

It should be pretty easy to find groups there. The exp and loot is very good. And if one take as a tradition to visit Varsoon once a day one get at least two masters a day for the group. And there almost always a named somewhere or that one can spawn.

Second thing might be to see if you can’t find a guild with lots of active members in your daytime and level. In a guild one can get help with crafted equipments spells and so on. And its very much fun to.

Best of luck /Tash

The mobs at the beginning of RoV aren't quite worth it to a level 37. I'd quest in EL and Zek. If you haven't done those quests in that fort in Zek, you should, there are lots of them and they should be easy for you.

When I was your level, I went to the beaches of Feerrott and Everfrost and hunted wolves, dregs, dragonflies, and snakes until I couldn't take it anymore.

Advertising in the 30-39 channel is a good idea (as mentioned earlier.) You can really get people interested if you tell them you want to go to Runnyeye or to kill nameds in EL and Zek.

PS: That guy Reza in Feerrott wants you to kill a bunch of easy stuff that should help you with your cash flow problem.

Message Edited by 3devious on 10-24-2006 12:44 PM
