<DIV>I notice a lot of posts about how bad the AAs are and if the post didn't start out that way, it generally moves towards that. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>What I am wondering is if there is a cookie cutter build for healing as a templar.  All the builds seem more DPS than I would normally like.  The group build-up is most likely going to be a Swash, Wizard, Monk or Zerker, and me as a Temp.  What build would benefit the group the most for healing?  Should I just pick whatever sounds the coolest since they all seem to be sub-par?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>Max out intel line then rest of points into stamina.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Kinda funny that they didn't want a so called "cookie cutter" spec but thats exactally what they gave the people who rolled a templar to heal. That is the only way you can go as a healer....everything else is dps.</DIV>

<DIV>Thanks for the help, thats exactly what I was planning on doing.  While it's nice to have a DPS option, making every other line DPS is rather silly.  Oh well, makes my choice easier.</DIV>

<DIV>If you are the MT templar of a raiding guild then it might be worth it to go buckler, I did.  If not then dont bother its just not needed as much in a group situation.  You have to give up either the spell haste or crit heals...  I gave up the crit heals, and of course have 8 points in spell haste and shield ally, but I actually got the AE immunity from the buckler line instead of the divine recovery.  In some of those high end mobs with crazy AEs you HAVE to be at max healing, but during the pull or repositioning theres a few secs where the tank might be out of healing range for everyone but me cause Im right next to him ignoreing that AE.  </DIV>

<DIV>After reading a bit more about Shield Ally, I am thinking I might go that route.  Between Int, Sta, and Agi lines, it seems you can't go too wrong.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Right now I am thinking about the AGI line for Shield Ally and then hitting the Sta line.</DIV>

<P>Healing? Didn't you know Templars are now a DPS class? At least that's all I can discern from the posts here lately. :smileyindifferent:</P> <P>Well, if you are going to be one of the people in the minority and use your Templar to heal, then go the STA and INT lines. The STA line will give you higher percentage for crits and the INT line will give you faster casting times. I went down the INT line first. </P> <P> </P>

There really is too many DPS AA's where there should be more healing AA's since we ARE a healer.</P><p>Message Edited by Kizee on <span class=date_text>09-12-2006</span> <span class=time_text>04:54 PM</span>
