Last night I finally decided to upgrade Vigilant Benediction (adept 1) into Unyielding Benediction (adept 3), and suddenly I was shocked to see how little the difference between the two is.Vigilant Benediction (adept 1)Chance to shield an ally 6% of the time.Unyielding Benediction (adept 3)Chance to shield an ally 10% of the time.what the christ?Did I just spend 60 gold on a pearl for a 4% increase? Not only that but Vigilant Benediction has a 9% or even higher chance to defend an ally. How is it a spell 10 levels higher then Vigilant Benediction, and 2 adepts higher then Vigilant Benediction is only 4% higher, with seemingly no other upgrades at all?

<div></div>You're looking at this the wrong way.  By singling out the fact that it only went up 4% makes it sound miniscule, but with the fact that it was 6% before means it actually added 67% of it's previous value.  10% compared to 6% is amost double.  To me that's a significan't increase. You can't single out our various lotto spells and say "well this spell by itself hardly does anthing".  Yes most of our lotto spells by themselves don't add alot.  It's when you stack them all up that you get a substantial amount of protection.<div></div><p>Message Edited by Quijonsith on <span class=date_text>09-11-2006</span> <span class=time_text>11:38 AM</span>

4% better chance is worlds apart... and btw. they buffed the ad3 version from 9% to 10%...This is a MUST HAVE spell in an raid MT grp and very good too in any group setting.Remember this is a 10% chance to trigger and then nihilate the hit an any hit coming in during the next 10 seconds...<div></div>

When the fighter is taking hundreds of thousands of points of damage over the course of a raid, that 4% doesn't seem so miniscule, I can assure you.

Heck, pretend it's taxes or a deductible. If your tax rate suddenly jumped from 6 to 10%, would you laugh it off? =P <div></div>

You can watch just how many times it procs (which is a lot).  I think its in narratives it will say "Your stoneskin absorbed # of damage."  ITs a pretty significant amount of damage your tank or you wont be taking. <div></div>

(Devs having time to grant presents is unfortunately very limited.  Devs having time to evaluate the consequences of giving out presents is even more limited. <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> )</P>

My Templar alt just got the first version of this and I linked it in guildchat...we dont have many templars in the guild. All the guards were like "wow! I want that spell!". Very nice. <div></div>
