<DIV>OK the deal is this: I currently play a level 61 templar. My guild does a few raids per week. We already have a level 70 templar and with the upcoming changes to betrayal I am considering changing to Inquisitor to be more benefical during raids. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Been reading up on the Inquisitor and found the following (correct me if wrong):</DIV> <DIV>1) Single heals are bigger for templar but have a longer recast time. Over a period of time the health healed and mana spent doing so evens out.</DIV> <DIV>2) Reactives heal for the same amount (?).</DIV> <DIV>3) Where templars have debuffs that heals, inquisitor has debuffs that harm. (Hate to lose fate-line it's so good it makes my eyes water)</DIV> <DIV>4) Inquisitor self-buffs are more DPS oriented and their DDsDOTs are better. (What does templars have that counter this?)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If anyone got experience playing both classes and even better got raid experience with both classes please share. How does inquisitor hold up against templar in MT group in off-tank group and in regular duoing/small/regular sized groups? </DIV> <DIV>Would also be helpful if someone could post a link to a page with all adept3/master1 spells for t6/t7 for both classes.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Cheers!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <P>Message Edited by Everlost2 on <SPAN class=date_text>05-30-2006</SPAN> <SPAN class=time_text>08:19 PM</SPAN></P><p>Message Edited by Everlost2 on <span class=date_text>05-30-2006</span> <span class=time_text>08:21 PM</span>

Depends on what you want to do. Templars are better than Inquisitors in MT and OT groups. Inquisitors are better with Scout DPS groups or the OT group if no other Templar is around. Templars have better defensive buffs and can buff HP even when STA is capped (Inquis cannot beyond their single target buff). <div></div>

<DIV>From what I've experienced, offense priests are better placed outside a MT group on a raid. If you don't mind playing from that perspective then, by all means, go Inquisitor.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<P>here comes some feedback from an inquisitor :   )</P> <P> </P> <P>first of all, if you looking for anything the best debuff, heal or anything. you played the wrong class. there is nothing the best for an inquisitor beside the shortest recast timer. </P> <P> </P> <P>for dps, inquisitor might be better than a templar. but still not as good as those shamans and durids that's for sure. might be like no.4 or 5 in priests</P> <P>for Heal, inquisitor direct heal is about 20% lower than templar. 20% higher than a fury. 10% lower than shamans. </P> <P>for buffs. I am 100% sure an inquisitor is worst class in mt group. it's the no.6 not even comparable to no.5. if you put an inquisitor in the mt group, i bet you out of cleric in the raid. and note : you are wasting inquisitor's ability too. Do not put an inquisitor in the mt group.</P> <P>debuffs. I believe it's a little bit worst than shamans and much better than durids. like no.3 </P> <P>Every class has its own strength and weakness how come a class still exist in the game and everything he got is like no.4 5 6?? it does has his strong point. this class never lack power. if you have a swashy in your group, you mostly are like full of power. here comes my point.</P> <P>during the raid, you will have to cast your spells none stop.  let me explain this more clear. if you are in a raiding guild, you got prismatic III, the hammer from princes, some spell proc items. your power regen will be like 200 per tick or 250. even though you spam cast, you might be still have 100% power always. caz an inquisitor's spell costs is very small. ( convert is something else ) hope you understand what i mean.</P> <P>point 2. this class is very good for long fight. it is kinna like a necro. an inquisitor got power drain. it's very hard to get an inquisitor 00m. almost impossible. an inquisitor can't do 700-800 or 1000+ like a fury. but if you have enough good gear, you can do 500-600 dps in a 10 mins fight or longer caz you never run out of power.</P> <P>if you ask me to descripe this class in 1 word, I will say " burn "</P>

<DIV>Thoughts from another Inquisitor <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>   * Yes, our reactives are exactly the same </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>   * Inquisitors work fine in the MT group, but Templars are more suited to the posisition. I have been in the MT group many times and we have had no difficulties, the victory was just as sweet.  But the true strengths of an Inquisitor are lost in the MT group.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>   * We shine in a dps group ( and NOT primarialy scout btw , but all mele clases)  - our buffs increase mele damage by 30%, provide a proc buff for additional damage, and have 2 additional spells that add proc damage. Throw in Fanatisism when the mt is at full health and/or when the other healers are keeping up with the heals well enough and we increase int, and add 50% haste. There really is no healing class that does all of this, hence the reason that there is always at least 1 Inquisitor on every raid, 2 if available. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>  * We are extremely power effecient. Many many times when the other healers are very low or out of power , I have ample power to keep healing. With the use of Chilling Inquest ( a power drain from the mob to me ) I RARELY run out of power. Keep in mind I also have pretty much maxed FT, and power regen in my group, but I can pretty much chain heal the entire fight and still have at least half power with the right target for my spell in my group.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>  * If you are a dps healer and falling asleep, your dps isn't doing their job <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> I am consistently at the top of the heal parse unless I am able to keep Fanatasism up for long periods of time ( never in a boss fight ). Mele dps by definition have to get close enough to the mob to actually hit is so are often in range of unpredictible AoEs, they pull agro, and well NO dps means NO dead mob.. so its a very important role to fill.. keep them alive. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> * While its true that our debuffs are not as powerful as shamans, they are still extremey important. We debuff just about everything but speed. Don't use them and see what a difference it makes <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> At the end of the day, this decision has to be about your game play. Clerics simply rock no matter which side of the pond you hail from. I am very passionate about my class and wouldn't give it up for any other. I love my role as a DPS healer , but thats just me. You need to be happy and comfortable in what ever healing hat you chose to wear becasue only then will your talents as a healer shine. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Good luck with your decision <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<div></div>you guys forgot one of the biggest reasons that templars run in the MT group.... Our suprisingly good books and our Apartments full of leatherbound books and mahogony furniture!on a more serious note, our stoneskin buff is one of the best things that we can give to the MT. that and the HP buffage are 2 of the main things that make it  better to put templars in MT group. Also, focussed intercsession does not work out of group, and that is a  very strong, power efficent spell that works very wel when saving tanks. (510-705 or something like that at m1)also, as far as betraying goes, almost all raid guilds love to have 2 templars in raids, 1 in MT and OT groups<p>Message Edited by jago quicksilver on <span class=date_text>06-04-2006</span> <span class=time_text>09:37 AM</span>
