View Full Version : Tricks for harclave / solo arena @ 49 ?
Anyone got any pointers for a 49 templar to actually finish solo arena and harclave ?Oh - and theres a caveat - no spells other than training spells are better than Adept I (Most still App I). I play on Vox which is a newer server, so unfortunately the highest sage is in their low 30s =I can usually survive on the solo arena until the 3-mob fight, and on harclave I can do fine until the end guy, who owns me hardcore.Any pointers/tricks/etc would be great to see if I could pull this off.<div></div>

<div>For tough fights, I prep with all three reactives (group, target, Bounty of the Virtuous). For Arena, I also typically blew out a damage shield potion, a mana regen potion, and a heal-over-time potion.</div><div> </div><div>Of course, take advantage of HOs! =)</div>

<div></div><p>For Harclave, if you can make it to the final guy, my suggestion is concentrate on one of his two buddies. Knock him down just as fast as you can, while still keeping yourself alive. As soon as one of them is down, run back towards the arc that gave you your buff. The fight will break, and you can go back once you are full on power and life again. At this point, try to take the named and the one guy left, if you cant, then rinse and repeat on the second buddy. Once both of the little ones are dead, you should be able to take the main boss.</p><p> </p><p>This is bass akwards to how I do the fight with any of my other characters, but it worked as I was learning how to play my templar and get his spells and gear upgraded.</p>

There is no excuse for ever having App 1 spells, unless you have just dinged and not made it back to town. Even then I like to carry the next couple of level Adept's around with me so I have them ready. You are simply not going to be able to beat him with poor gear - he is designed to be tough.I struggled with the Arena Champion until I bought an imbued wand. The extra damage I could cast from it at the end of the fight when I was running low on power tipped the balance.</span><div></div>

<div></div><div></div><div>In Harclave i never had a problem, i just bought an invis totem and got the buff before fighting. Then again all my spells were adept1 with my main heals at adept3</div><div> </div><div>In the arena i just healed but i used an imbued wand for all of my damage on the last guy... all my power went on healing and it was a long fight (what fight isn't as a templer), but the mob ran out of power before i did <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />. If you are having a problem with the group of three try and figure out what each one does. Iirc one was a tank, one healer and one dps type. If you time your heals right and get rid of their healer first it should make it a bit easier. As mentioned in the posts above the dmg shield potion etc. work great aswell but they can come at a high price. Imbued wands are fairly expensive also, but they have decent stats and are well worth it imo.</div><p>Message Edited by ispoki on <span class="date_text">03-14-2006</span><span class="time_text">08:06 PM</span></p>
