If you haven't done the manastone quest, that's a good one, and the mana stone is indispensable for a healer even in the mid-40s. I am still using mine and my templar is almost level 55. Another good one is Saving Soles because of the power regen boots reward; you can start that one at level 40.

You could forage and consider getting ebon pieces in armor that has wisdom stats. And the Screaming Mace HQ will give you a very nice weapon for a templar. Hopefully your server has a heritage channel that you can use to give and receive help with these quests.

Suite

First of all, your gear doesn't look too bad to me - as a casual player you can't compete with players who do a lot of raiding, and usually are dressed in all ebon (or cobalt at lvl 50+) at least - usually salted and peppered with some fabled. As suggested you might want to get the "Golden Efreeti Boots" (heritage quest) and (if you don't already have it) the Manastone. And like suggested check your broker for ebon - now that most people are looking for tier6 and the drop rate has been increased you might be able to get a cheap piece of ebon. If you do, I recommend getting the spaulders - they are +WIS. Your chest-item doesn't have WIS, too (of course it's not this bad to have a mix of INT and WIS items, esp. when you're soloing a lot - as INT determines the amount of damage your spells do). A nice WIS-breastplate is the "Crysta Everling's Breastplate of Inquisition", which is a drop in the epic Nek Castle instance (or again, check your broker). And maybe you should consider replacing your Earring - as a Templar you have a "Breath underwater"-spell anyway, so you can put there some Earring with +WIS, too. A nice one is the "Stinkhoop" (check your broker). Or do you have DoF-Expansion? Then you can do a series of quest for "Ghassan the Trader" - the reward for one of them ("Scorpion Scrounging") is the "Murky Crystal Earring" withi +8 WIS, +30 HP, +42 Power and some resistances.

Thanks all. I do have the manastone--I'm a Heritage Quest Ho--but haven't got the screaming mace drop yet, or done much exploring in lavastorm. I'll work on those a bit more diligently. I do have DoF, and am doing the Gassahn Quests. Thanks for the tip there. I'll look at getting some Ebon upgrades as $$$ permits... I just upgraded all my spells to App IV / Adept I, so my cash$$ is a bit low.Glad to know I'm not far behind where I should be. I just thought my wis was a bit low compared to other templars.

Also look on the broker for the Nightblood armor pieces ..or alternately kill them for drops (in RV, I think..will have to check). Unlike other heavy armor that has varying stats on them, depending on the piece (some with, some without), every piece of NB armor has a good Wis stat on it.

I wore that exclusively to about 45..then mixed good Wis-bearing ebon pieces in with the NB stuff. Not only for the good Wis..but...the mix of those two - silver and black - meets or exceeds the all-important 'cuteness' stat, that is so frequently overlooked.

P.S. you've Way outgrown the Cuff of the Stormscholar - nice as that was at lvl 24ish. I'd consider finding something else there.

Message Edited by Arielle Nightshade on 11-17-2005 01:36 PM
