Well now i now the difference, was happy to loot my Unyielding Benediction Master 1 and it acually cast the divine shield for the first time. Maybe they fixed the spell our maybe the difference are a master spell wich i dont hope.

From another thread, posted by a Dev.

Unyielding Benediction does not upgrade properly to Vigilant Benediction
Lower tier spell Identical to upper tier version.

This is actually a display problem only but it's really ugly to describe how it works so we're going to change it. Basically, right now having the higher level spell means that the stoneskin effect has a higher % chance of absorbing the incoming blow because the chance to absorb the blow is based on a ratio between the attacker's level and the spell's level. I spoke with Archonix (who explained to me how it works ), and he's going to change this so that when the stoneskin procs it will always absorb the blow and that Unyielding Benediction will have a higher chance to proc the stoneskin effect in the first place, making it a clear upgrade to Vigilant Benediction.

On the bright side, its supposed to actually absorb hits again.

Hopefully they can add a message, maybe like a ward or heal message saying something like "Lairia's Vigilant/ Unyielding Benediction absorbed 253 points of damage."

It does now work, although the text comes up as narrative and not combat healing which you may have already turned off. The spell itself it great - it was completely broken before this fix as you'll see when you start to watch for it.

Aye, one of my zerk guildies asked "what's stoneskin?" the day of the fix to this. When I told him, he said "Goddli, I think you're quickly becoming my favorite healer" ^_^ Glad this spell works now because I honestly didn't know it was broken.
