<DIV>What tradeskill did you select for your Templar? What do you think is the most optimal tradeskill for a templar?</DIV>

<DIV>Ugh that's a tossup between a Scholar tradesman or Provisioner.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I don't mind buying the spell upgrades or giving someone a rare in exchange for the spell and fuel costs... what I DO mind is paying 1-5g for a drink, so I went provisioner.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>You really need food & drink often to keep up your mana, or groups will get irate with you when you spend 5 minutes regaining mana between fights <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> and food & drink is typically really expensive.</DIV>

Well, my wife plays a ranger and has an alt provisioner to make drinks for us.  So I made my Templar into an alchemist so I could make poison for her ranger.  So my situation was kind of odd, which means I'm probably of absolutely no help in this decision for you at all :p <div></div>

My templar is a provisioner. I have never regretted the decision to make him a provisioner. The money I have made selling some of my food and drink has very nicely covered the costs associated with leveling my toon (spells, weapons, armour etc.). Of course being a Sage would be of obvious value since you can upgrade your own spells. Potions (alchemist) are certainly also wonderful and can help give you an edge solo and in groups but they are not essential. Good luck.<p>Message Edited by Copperhand on <span class=date_text>11-11-2005</span> <span class=time_text>12:50 PM</span>

If you're only going to do one tradeskiller, I'd second the provisioner idea.  It's a major pain in the butt to get decent food and drink, and yet you really need it.  It's much easier just to make it, with stuff you pick up harvesting as you just go around on your business or just buy.  Plus, it's simple to level a provisioner up.
