Item for Ranged Slot

The patch notes said : <i><span class="postbody">"- Crusaders, Mages, and Priests can now equip most symbols (censers, dolls, idols, orbs, steins, symbols, tablets, and tomes) in their ranged slot in addition to their secondary slot. " </span></i><span class="postbody"> So... anyone find anything that'll work in the ranged slot? I tried my pearl orb, tarton's wheel, wis doll, and teleport mirror for shimmering citadel and none would equip. </span><div></div>

Just wait till you see the pearl orb that can go in that ranged slot :smileyvery-happy: its the best thing that happend to you for 6 weeks !

I tried putting my pristine pearl orb in the ranged slot.. woudn't take it.  Do you have the (hate to say this) exact name of an item you could equip? I think maybe this is bugged.

Stats are off the top of me head but it was something like this  12 int , 12 wis , 60 points of  resists in all catagorys  like 80 power , and like plus 60 in crushing ,slashing ect

You can now search ranged slot for templars on market to get an idea of what type of items go in it. Seems mostly symbols, tablets, and books fit in there that ive seen so far.

Excellent!  Glad to hear!  Now if only I kept all those items I dumped on the NPC vendor because I could only equip one at a time. <span>:smileysad:</span> <div></div>

<P>Even though patch notes state all those items go into the slot, in fact many do not. The item must state -range- as an option in the slot description. </P> <P>My Vailtail stien won't go into the range slot, probably cause it has shield factor and that would be like equipping 2 shields, but really who knows maybe they just failed to add range slot to many items. </P> <P>/shrug </P>

I put the Symbol Of the Scarecrow King in mine. Wisdom +10, Power +16, Health +15, vs Divine +108May not be that good compared to other symbols, but its what I had in the bank.

Got my Idol of Chaos in there.  I know there are higher stat items but I'd sure hate to lose the mana regen on that.  One thing to remember, bigmak, is that you can't move an item to your range slot while it's equipped.  You must put it in a bag first, then go to your range.  Dunno if that helps... <div></div>

Pearl orb in ranged slot.  After thinking on it I think what I was doing was trying to drag it from off-hand into ranged and it wouldn't let me.  Had to un-equip it first. Have tarton's wheel in off-hand or Aegis Shield of Scorn (? something like that) depending on what I'm doing.  That fabled shield is a relatively routine drop in the Roost.  Only 14 wis but 289 shield factor so think I'll use it solo'ing see if it helps reduce interrupts.
