<DIV>Non=templar but pal is, so an idea/suggestion to help with slow soloing  <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV>Damage shield potions, though nto so powerful post Combat Revamp, are still sueful, the legendary ones are more powerful than my conjuror ones, sheesh (but legendary too expensive for most folk to use, less you are perhaps a sage or alchemist making lots of spells)</DIV> <DIV>Now if you have an alchemy alt or friend or as your TS class, you could have a stock of DS potions. Npw that they can be used form inventory it's easier.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Damage shields work best when you have lots of mobs, or lengthy fight, so on Groups of say 4-5 arrow downs, or a single arrow up, near your con, you'd see the best benefit.</DIV> <DIV>People foolishly ignore or whine about the power of even a small damage shield...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Now, say you fought four 2 arrow down mobs, with mitigation, say each was hitting you for 40-60 hps (lvl 50ish), in return your damage shield potion could, iirc, be doing 25 to 43 hp. You do the math..that's a BIG damage increase, for a templar. The only problem is cost per useage and duration. Healer classes make the best use of damage shields, since they can heal the damage they are taking in, basiclaly lettign mobs fry themselves to death <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV>Not so useful on casters, but even they melee a bit.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Alchemy info:</DIV> <DIV><A href="http://www.eq2alchemy.com/Shader/potions.html" target=_blank>http://www.eq2alchemy.com/Shader/potions.html</A></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Hope this helps <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

If you really want to solo for exp, you will do a lot better running some exp quests than actually killing mobs. Since the killing part will be less than the running around part, actual DPS is rather meaningless. I get about 8% exp per hour at L54 with quite a lot of harvesting on the side. Doubling my DPS would probaly add less than 10% to my total exp. More DPS is clearly needed, but i am not willing no spend [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn]loads of money on it, food and drink are expensive enough. <div></div>
