So there we were, we had found a hidden cache of cutthroats and thieves had decided that they were up to no good and needed to be eliminated. We had finished our battle with Boris and had moved past the monstrously sized crocodiles to a sandy stretch across the water.

Something went wrong... Suddenly multiple groups of these cutthroats were on us and they were going strait for our little gnome wizard! I did my best to keep him alive long enough for our brave knight to take control of the situation. Alas, right before he did one of their casters rendered me immobile and unable to cast. Our poor brave knights health was dropping fast and I was helpless. I had very little time so as soon as I recovered from the stifling effects I called upon my powers of radiance and beneficence to lend a hand. Even as they were taking affect, I was calling on all my other healing powers to bring things under control.

Those cutthroats took notice… I knew that they would and I had nothing left if they should all jump on me, so as they started turning my way and charging towards me I cast a pacifying harmonious effect around them. They all forgot about me and ran back to the knight but there were still so many and my time to recover from the drain of each healing spell I cast was too long. I was afraid we would not make it after all so as I waited on my recovery I did a quick pray of Salvation on my knight. Shortly after I saw him fall, but wait! He wasn’t dead! My prayers were answered and that last blow proved not to be fatal after all. Just as he was healed from this salvation my largest restoring heal landed on him. Suddenly things started going our way. Their numbers were going down and I was able to keep things under control. It was an exhausting fight and my party was drained of power at the end, but we won the battle and what an exciting adventure it was!

/ooc Rarely do I get to use all my specials in a fight, but when I do, it sure is fun! It could have gone either way on Salvation, but for this fight it did the trick. I like close fights. I like it when you’re not sure if you will survive or not. I like keeping everyone alive and the feeling of having made the right choices with the limitations we have for cast times on each of our spells.

Oh yeah, and I am not sure if the first named in this zone is called Boris, but since I was writing a story I thought it would be better to give him a name even if it wasn’t correct.

Does anyone else have fun stories they would like to share about the adventures they have had with their Templars?

Message Edited by Ember on 11-08-2005 01:44 PM
