So simple an idea and it's already in place for other classes. Why can't Priests have "stances". A stance that gives a power/Wis bonus and improved healing over baseline and a stance that ups weapon damage and an Int boost (OK, a substantial Intelligence boost) so our nukes do more damage.

I also thought that for the improvements, we would have to give something up. Can't have our cake and eat it too, right? So, for the “offence” stance we can reduce wisdom or total power and take a hit to healing ability. For defense, we get a power increase and increased heals.

As a side benefit, we all know that having 2 Templars in a group or 2 of any same healer class in the same group is worthless, causes stacking issues… etc. This would also solve that problem as well since one healer is acting as a combatant/backup healer and the other is the main healer.

Any thoughts?

A huge thread was here with a nice summary of different "suggestions". U may want to go a couple pages deep and see all of the suggestions made within the last month. You will find a very nice summary of thoughts

Elder

*edit Spelling*

Message Edited by Jida on 11-04-200504:28 PM

Message Edited by Jida on 11-04-2005 04:28 PM

Easy way? Just double the damage and power use of templar nukes. 2nd step? Look at other healers basic damage and bring it up to templars new level. 3rd step? If other classes basic dps is still short of furies, just add damage and power usage till it is as high. 4th? Check utility and make it define the classes. As it is, just the name of the class determines how much a basic nuke does damage, but name of the class does not determine basic healing. 5th? Make wisdow determine how much healing spells heal just as int determines damage.

IMO any divine spell caster's damage (that means priests and crusaders) should be based on wisdom. Most every RPG (good ones atleast) are like that (goodole D&D comes to mind). Why is it that mages have it so good having to pretty well only worry about their INT while we have to choose between power pool and damage while solong (ntm have different sets of gear, which I do)
