So everytime I see a templar ingame I try and inspect to see what armour, weapons etc they are wearning and using. Any helpful hints on the best kind of armour/weapons/spells I should be using - between level 30-40 (am currently lvl29) . Also any Quests I should be picking up to get good rewards for completing for templars. Finally what kinda rares should I be keeping that make good items for templars? ta, monkeyleader (on spitpaw)<div></div>

<DIV>Your next best upgrades for your 30s come from Zek and Runnyeye.  You can get nice legs and chest out of RE from a couple of quests.  And a nice chest piece out of Zek from a quest.  It's been so long since I've been to these places with my Templar, that I can't remember what npcs give the quests or even what the rewards were.  Rare hex dolls are a nice addition for wisdom.  And, of course, a rare Wisdom ring.  I have no idea what weapon or shield I was using in my 30s.  To be honest, I moved through my thirties so fast that I really didn't have time to do anything but patch a few pieces together and just play.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If you want to make it easy just outfit yourself in t4 crafted gear and go for xp.  You'll be through your 30s in no time if you play as an average person would play.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<P></P> <DIV>Here's where a site like eq2.ogaming.com is your best friend.</DIV> <DIV>When entering a new tier, I would always do this:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Check the items database, advanced search, and check the box for </DIV> <DIV>Templar, enter the required level you're aiming for ( in this case 30) and in the</DIV> <DIV>Wis box, enter >4 (or whatever added Wisdom stat you feel is adequate)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This will give you a list of items that will be usable at level 30, and by examining</DIV> <DIV>each item you'll see where it drops and what quest is required to earn it.</DIV> <DIV>As you approach the next level, you can repeat this step to see what will be available next.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>When you find an item you consider desirable,  follow the link to the quest walkthrough, </DIV> <DIV>learn the details and bludgeon a few friends into helping you complete the quest.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Having done a quick runthrough of the above procedure, I see that Wisdom >4 leads to</DIV> <DIV>mostly named mobs and difficult quests, so perhaps try lower Wis requirements to find</DIV> <DIV>suitable quests for your level.  If your group can take out a level 40 named, then you'll be</DIV> <DIV>able to find some nice items.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As for harvests, I think Opal is the rare for this tier, and many others have stated that they have </DIV> <DIV>a hard time justifying using an opal on any of the spells available.   That may have changed since</DIV> <DIV>the combat update however, so you'll have to look carefully at what's available to decide if any</DIV> <DIV>are worth upgrading to you.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If you are working on heritage quests, remember that you need to harvest (or buy) a glimmering tooth from Zek or EL </DIV> <DIV>for the manastone, and a sparkling flower for the polished granite tomahawk.  (The tomahawk is not usable by templars, but</DIV> <DIV>a nice guild status boost for a fairly easy quest).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Hope you find this helpful.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV><p>Message Edited by El Conquistador on <span class=date_text>10-26-2005</span> <span class=time_text>02:18 AM</span>
