View Full Version : Mark line... someone explain this to me please?

<DIV>How is this line useful anymore?  Have Mark of Kings at Adept 1... heals for a whopping 25 and decreases mitigation by 552.  Mitigation sounds great right?  For those of you with Combat Stats (I'm still messing around with it to figure it out), can you parse some data?  I was taking on some Epic^^^ x2 mobs with some guildies and got a HUGE, GIGANTIC, MONSTROUS 1 extra point of damage.  Can't say it's because the damage varies because I was using Rays of Faith (Fixed damage over a group).  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Granted, the heal isn't big but it's more of a fire and forget.  From the posts I've read in these forums the mark line is suppose to be more of a debuff then anything else with a heal as a nice addin.  Well, since Healers and Paladins are the only ones doing divine damage... what exactly is the purpose?  Our DPS is bad enough but can we at least get some luvinz on our debuffs?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>And for Kendricke... Yeah, I've taken on other mobs and used it in the same situation and I'm STILL not impressed.  Our nukes are terrible, our heals are decent but I know of a lvl 46 Warden, and I might be mistaken about the exact specifics, that has a group heal that heals as much as our Greater Restoration at Adept3 with only an extra 20 power cost.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I really can't wait to get Combat Stats up and running... was getting smacked around by a golem.  Read off some of the damage I was taking to a Wizzy friend and he was saying he took about the same amount of damage from the same type/lvl mob.  I'm so glad that Plate Armor is working for us...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>And trust me, I'll be posting some stats here real soon.  Time to take of spin out of the Spin Doctors on here.</DIV>

<P>This spell used to be great. It was something I would cast on every mob. It is now essentially useless though except in a few rare situations, like with an epic mob that will take a while to kill where multiple people can proc it. </P> <P>Given an average tank at that level will have about 6k hp. This debuff is healing for less than 2% of their health every 8 seconds, if they manage to proc the heal. The resist debuff is useless except when soloing as most spell casters nuke for fire/cold/dis/poi. It would be better to stick the resist part of this spell back with the reproach line, as it makes more sense there.</P> <P>When people complain about our utility, this is one of the spells that comes to mind, and this is one of the things that could bring us more in line with the other healers. If they doubled the healing on this, it would again be useful in my opinion, but as it is now, it is not worth bothering unless you have excess mana/time to spare.</P> <P>Curaga<BR>52 Templar<BR>Unrest</P><p>Message Edited by ADW123 on <span class=date_text>10-24-2005</span> <span class=time_text>11:44 AM</span>
