<DIV>I need a little help here with this one... which is better? </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Supplicant's Prayer, Adept III does 120 - 147 heals with a cost of 79 power.</DIV> <DIV>Bestowal of Vitality, Master II does 99 - 121 heals with a cost of 61 power.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>In my mind, to compare the two I need to look at a ration of healing per power (as casting times are the same)</DIV> <DIV>[(120+147)/2]/79 = 1.86 (Supplicant's Prayer)</DIV> <DIV>[(99 + 121)/2]/61 = 1.98 (Bestowal)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So, from that I'm thinking Bestowal is still the better spell, or am I wrong and should I be going by simply the highest healing # (Supplicant)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

Id normally go for higher heals, but if you can keep up with the damage using the old spell go for it. Much of a muchness really.

Which happens to you most often--waiting for recast timers to expire before casting another heal, or waiting for your power to regenerate enough to cast another heal? The answer to that question should answer yours. Also keep in mind that you should expect mobs to hit harder as you level up, making the heal/damage ratio per hit drop, regardless of which spell you choose. The lower healing spell will likely require you to cast more single heals to maintain hit points than Supplicant's Prayer will. That's just my sub-level 50 opinion.</P> <P>Alephin</P><p>Message Edited by Alephin on <span class=date_text>10-21-2005</span> <span class=time_text>06:00 AM</span>

<DIV>Lvl 32 Templar here.</DIV> <DIV>I went with BoV at Master 2 and have not regretted it. Matter of fact, it appears that out of the next heal spell upgrades, its the last one to get upgraded. I have not had any problems keeping up with healing tanks, and I usually find myself waiting for the spell refresh timer to come up so that I can cast another heal.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Pretty soon (somewhere between 28 - 30) your quick cast heal will be upgraded and you will find that BoV + Fast cast heal is about all you will ever cast. The only exception is when you had to burn the quick cast on an over nuking mage, at least in my experience.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Pre-level 30 my WIS was about 110-120ish (if I recall correctly) and I rarely had problems with running low on power. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>In my opinion, and my experience, I would take the Master 2 BoV and use the rare to upgrade something else.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Carpathian Aurelius</DIV> <DIV>32 Templar of Nektulos</DIV>

Oops, should have mentioned: Currently in possession of BoV Master II (upgrade from lvl) Just earned the right/level to cast any version of Supplicant's Prayer and found the adept III for sale and just didn't know if I should leave that one on the table and keep using BoV or get the Supplicant's Prayer one. <div></div>

<DIV>u should upgrade every Reactive Heal u get...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>there's no chance use BoV till lvl 40 for another upgrade <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>
<P>Depends on how much cash you got.</P> <P>I used BoV Master II all the way to lvl 40 and it worked ok for me.</P> <P>I suggest get BoV Master II and save your cash and buy Intercession adept III.</P> <P>But hey ! If you are rich get both.</P>

<P>I'd agree with Alephin too, but some of the other responses puzzle me.</P> <P>BoV is a lvl 12 cleric spell. The choice to master it is at level 24, where you are only 2 levels away from receiving Supplicant's prayer, its same timer upgrade is doubtful, given that the absolute size of the healing is a a lot more important now, than the slight decrease in efficiency ([expletive haxx0red by Raiscript] those recast timers).</P> <P>The other 3 master choices at level 24 had a lot more levels before their replacement, so if I was levelling, rather than just forced respeccing, one of them would have been my preference.</P> <DIV>If you've already used your respec, and the choice is between the only slightly better Supplicants prayer, vs spending on a completely separate heal, then the other heal is a better bet - for groups, you need every heal spell as powerful as you can get, because fights are short and hard. Soloing though is more dps and power limited than heal timer, so you want the most power efficient heals you can get.</DIV><p>Message Edited by Antryg Mistrose on <span class=date_text>10-22-2005</span> <span class=time_text>10:47 PM</span>
