<DIV>Has anyone done any investigating into this spell line?  Based on it's heal and proc chance, coupled with the fact that it only fires off on the person getting hit, this spell seems much less effective than the Mark line (which fires off for just as much healing, twice as often, on potentially everyone attacking the subject mob) at directly healing hit points.  The real benefit to this spell would lie in its ability to cure trauma.  Any idea how often this spell actually cures trauma, as opposed to just healing a tank that isn't suffering trauma?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'm thinking this spell would be more reasonable as an area-effect debuff, but if the trauma cure has significant impact, I could be mistaken.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Alephin</DIV>

I've never seen any reserach done into anything other than the healing factor of it (which in my opinion...well it can't hurt can it?).   The Mark line to me works well but is especially effective because of the Divine Resist debuff at least for soloing.   This sounds tough to test but maybe one of the people that are good with parsers can see if its working.

<P>the only time i EVER cast this spell is on named or raid mobs.. I honestly say its useless other than that.. the mobs drop soo fast that this doesnt help as intended. I'd rather cast cure arcane, it casts faster and saves mana/time.</P> <P> </P> <P>Elder</P>

<DIV>it's really not even worth the mana on raid/named.  cure trauma is a nice efficient heal when we get it off right after the status impairment hits.  because the involunary healer line proc is so random, i'd rather fire off my cure trauma right after the trauma impairment hits, to make the most of my mana, rather than wait on the unpredictable "heal" of this line.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>so really, you're just using this as a secondary heal spell, at which point it becomes worthless.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>edit: ok sorry, just realized this spell can remove more levels of hostile trauma than cure trauma can.  so there are times when it's useful, like when you're fighting mobs too high for your cure trauma spell.</DIV><p>Message Edited by Kemmyn on <span class=date_text>10-21-2005</span> <span class=time_text>09:47 AM</span>
