<DIV>Previously I had considered our mezz useless, and just something thrown at us to try to balance the decrease in all our other utility. I still feel this way under most conditions but I have found a use for it, where it works very well and does something no other spell is capable of doing. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I was in a normal clefts group the other night and everything was going well. We were pulling quickly and exp was coming in. Tank was getting tired of pulling though so thought I'd give it a try. This is where our mez becomes useful. It stops a mob from attacking (thus keeping you from dying a horrible death) but also allows the mob to move (thus being able to be pulled). For over 2 hours I chain pulled using our mezz to tag the mobs and have the tank grab them as they came into the camp and it improved the speed of the exp gained a lot. With a chanter or other cc class in group this is even better as they can park the mob on inc.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I am certainly not recommending all templars go and start pulling...it is something that is useful under certain circumstances if you can keep your mana up and the rest of the group, but its a different use that I think most people wouldn't think off. As a warning, do not try this with an incompetant group; In a group full of people that don't know how to assist, ninja-afk, can't follow simple direction etc. This will lead to a quick death as most groups do with these charactistics. Just thought I'd post this and see what you think.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Curaga</DIV> <DIV>52 Templar</DIV> <DIV>Unrest</DIV>

<div></div>Who do you soothe?  The target being pulled or the social mob near the target?  I've just started trying to do this, but with little luck. I use my Inquisitor root/stifle a bunch - to pull, to cut down on stuff hitting the tank, to deal with adds.  Is your mezz extra sucky? <div></div><p>Message Edited by Broccli on <span class=date_text>10-18-2005</span> <span class=time_text>04:31 PM</span>

<DIV>For use as a mez, our mez is "extra sucky". For use in pulling it is actually quite useful. I didn't use soothe, but would assume you would soothe the nearby mob then tag the mob you wanted if you were to do it this way.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Curaga</DIV> <DIV>52 Templar</DIV> <DIV>Unrest</DIV>

<P>As a pull it makes more sense to have the slightly longer cast time as well.</P> <P> </P>
