why should a wizard be able to do 1000 points of damage at 40 and a healer at the same level can only do at the most 600 of healing. <div></div>

Because they are different classes with different roles.

... it would probably be close until we went oop.  Healing we burn a lot of mana.  Just speculating; but would depend on which class went oop first.
