A good group is all you need... get a bad one and no priest class can keep up. Tip on what to look for in other players. Fighters/Tanks: Two Words: Defensive Stance - When fighting hard mobs, this is a must even if it's not with a shield. Fighters/Tanks: Proper upgrades - if you inspect and he's sub 2100 armor at 50... might wanna find another. Fighters/Tanks: Proper technique - if your tank doesn't pull and turn the mobs back to you... might wanna find another. (see note) Fighters/Tanks: Can they and do they HO? If not, replace Scouts: They get 20 sec mez with 30 sec recast... everyone with me here? Ours in 12 with 20 recast... can you say constant mez? Scouts: Aggro reducers... if your scout doesn't use his aggro reducer... ask him why... or get another one. Scouts: Can they and do they HO? If not, replace. Mages: Over nuking and taking aggro? Warn them you'll not heal on over nuking and if they keep on, let 'em die, noone gets the debt but them. Mages: Can they and do they HO? if not, replace. All Classes: Do they pay attention? On the phone all the time? AFK all the time? REPLACE. If you have tips about what to check for with others, please feel free to add to this list. Note: I highly recommend finding a guild that suites your play style and get in it and you can usually find good solid groups more often that way. Note About Fighter Turning Mob: This shows he knows what he's doing. There are lots other things to look for, but if he pulls and turns the mob... you've got a good one. This prevents AE's on DPS and casters... and makes sure adds usually land on him if you are dungeon crawlings or moving through a linear zone. If not in one of those zones, it still prevents AE's and keeps people from having to reposition... which... you can't cast while having to reposition.

Message Edited by Relaeh on 09-20-2005 04:32 PM
