View Full Version : Teir 3 Adept IIIs
My very kind friend gave me a coral, my to my surprise. I am currently level 29 and trying to decide what the best choice would be for my teir 3 adept III spell. I don't have adept IIIs; any advice for the best choice would be great. Thank you, Simyon 29 Gnomish Templar Lucan D'Lere

That's a tough one. Levels 20-30 doesn't have anything that really stands out for spells in my mind. If it was t2 there are a few as pointed out in other threads and for t4 I'd suggest reproach in a heartbeat. I'd say maybe restoration or amelioration would be ok, but the biggest issue is most of the spells in t3 are upgraded. Perhaps sell it for a good chunk of change to put towards a higher level spell or even an adept 3 t2 spell or two.

Piece of advice hehe Coral is used fer T2 adept 3s....not T3...and fer future reference you need coral and/or silver to make T2, jasper and/or palladium makes T3, opal and/or ruthenium makes T4, and ruby and/or rhodium makes T5 WRITE IT DOWN hehe :smileyvery-happy:

Yup, coral is tier II. But since you asked for tier III spell, have to say Intercession Adept III, best bet in my opinion. Tier II I would normally always say Bestowal of Vitae for the simple fact I used that spell adept III all the way up until I got an upgrade at 40. Supplicants prayer is a shame becuase it isn't really an upgrade to Bestowal of Vitae Adept III. Since your already pretty high and it is a tier II rare I recommend selling and saving for when you get to Ruby/Rhodium levels (tier five). Not much to upgrade in tier IV cept your debuffs.

Also when you hit forty and first recieve your Greater Intercession, Bestowal of Vitae is STILL on par with it. At forty the Adept III version of Greater Intercession heals for 194 and Bestowal of Vitae 134. However Greater Intercession will far surpass it im sure as I level and adept III of it is a must have im sure.

Just some thoughts

=-D

hello,

It is useful to spent some money just for Bestowal of Vitae (12) and Distract (13,4)

Maybe from 20 to 30 it will be nice to upgrade one Symbol group buffs, but atm I dont remember which one become obsolete with levels. (Maybe I'll edit post when I'll return home :p )

BoV and Distract cost few golds for rare and are always welcome; Distract doesn't use the same recast time of Placate and Harmony and more power to dimishing hate is always welcome for a templar.

Teir 3 has both of your reactives, and an instant. I would upgrade(in order of importance):

-Intercesion is amazing in terms of pure healing power, but can be a bit of a mana hog at the beginning. It will still be the spell that makes you shine so that would be my first choice. You may run into trouble when grouped, and a mob junk AE's your charges drop fast and then so does your tank.

-Supplicant's Prayer is often overlooked, and I would definately upgrade that second. I was lucky enough to find a Master 1 at a decent price and it is hands down better than BoV. I don't think adept 3 is that far off.

-Amelioration isn't that bad a choice either as sometimes you will need to fire of quick heals for the Sorcerors who are trying to show off.

As for Teir 2, which is what the coral is for, the previous recommendations are all good but you might also consider:

-Soothing Sermon which is replaced by Intercession but I still stack it with BoV or SP when I need a little help and Intercession is just too much of a power drain.

-Daring gets upgraded with Bravery and Valor, but you will always be able to stack it with them. And to my knowledge the effects do infact stack, not just the buff symbols.

-Admonishing Smite is our best in the line of smites. I don't know if SOE plans on fixing this, but given that both are adept 3, Admonishing still beats out Reproving at lvl 38.

Hi - sorry for a bit of a sidenote hijack I got a nice piece of opal in my bank - Any suggestions for an unmissable upgrade for my templar? Or shall I just treat my coercer to Refresh Adept 3?

Reproach is the way to go?

I've got all my group and indivividual T5 reactives and direct heals up to adept 3 and was looking at where to upgrade next. Buffs and Debuffs are obviously pretty important - so I looked a debuffs and saw that my still MUCH used Reproach was a lvl 38 T4 spell!! So I am going to check my rares bank to see if I have an adept 3 rare for it.

Obviously at lvl 50 I'm still using it almost every battle and when I'm doing the pulling (solo or small group w/o a tank) that's the spell I use for the pull.

My vote for a "can't miss" T4 templar upgrade going forward.

I would either sell it or see if you could use it in a trade and get an Adept III for Smite and Radiant Strike for low power HOs, which you will use up to level 50 when soloing. As far as Adept III spells go, you are better off selling the rares you find and upgrading your equipment to get more power, which is way more useful at lower levels. Worry about Adept III or Masters when you are in your 40s and start raiding highend mobs. Anyway, just my opinion.
