21 templar here, wondering what hotkey setups peeps are using? returning after playinmg WoW for the last 5 months. What are your main heals spells and buffs used the most in groups? Theres so many spells available and spell upgrades, it gets confusing. Any other tips, strategies, etc you can suggest would be appreciated. Thanks.

This is my raid set up, all the heals and cures set up for easy access. If im soloing I substitue spots 1-3 with divine providence, divine strike and condemning smite. I then put bounty of the virtuous in 4, greater intercession in 5 and greater restoration in 6. CTRL 1 gets Warring faith, CTRL 2 gets Symbol of Corruption and CTRL 3 gets admonishing smite.

I have a similar setup except I also have CSOV and Arch Healing hotkeyed to my mousebutton 4 and 5. It makes life a whole lot easier.

I do not put offensive spells in my top row (the ones tied to 1-0 on my keyboard), but heals instead (since I am a templar, healing is my calling, therefore heal spells are in my first row of hotbuttons). So my setup is like this:

Horizontal Bars

Top Row: Healing spells, with single reactives 1-2, instants in the middle, and group reactives toward the right.

Row 2 (corresponding to alt 1-0): Debuffs, Mark of Kings type spells cast on mob that heal group members, hatred-reducing spells

Row 3 (corresponding to ctrl 1-0): offensive spells (direct damage, DoT, etc)

Vertical Bars

Row 4: Group buffs, utility spells that aid group members; cures.

Row 5: Self buffs, spells that can only be cast on myself, travel spells, etc.

Welcome to EQ2!

Suite, Blackburrow Troubador

Eliana, Blackburrow Templar

I have an Apple Display that is quite wide so I am able to have five hotbars set up

first row is my hate reducers third row group cures and master strikes

second row is debuffs and buffs center row is heals fourth row is smites and nukes

There are a few other random ones on each hotbar of course, like activatables, water breathing, holy acolyte, etc..they are typically to the outside edges.

On my main healing hotbar I have put "Vigilent Benediction" as it is an important spell (I think) and it drops often in battle. This increases mitigation of 165 or so, and also has a chance to absorb one hit, well who knows how big that one hit will be.

So....I keep it in #1 so that I use it. Next comes the small instant cures, then the big instants....then the single target reactive, group reactives, then group heals.

I use the streamlined custom interface and have my resolution pretty high so I have 6 hotbars set up on my screen.

My primary hotbar is all my templar heals and group status cures as well as my oh crap spells.

My secondary hotbar is my nukes and debuffs.

My Tertiary bar is all my buffs.

My fourth bar is all my creature smites and some misc stuff.

My 5th bar is for hotkeying equipment, and the entertainment spells

My 6th bar is my single target status cures and my cleric and priest heals I still use.

They are arragned so that its heals and cures across row 1, offensive on row 2 and buffing/fun on row 3.

I've just been raiding but this is how the actual healing process goes on those raids...

If I'm in the main tank group... I single-target reactive, group reactive, single-target heal (all of them), vigilant benediction and group cure. If I'm outside of the main tank group, I single-target heal (all of the them) and group cure. If I'm not in the MT group, I also tend to use the Templar debuffs since I don't have to worry about quite so many spells.

As for my hotbar setup.. I have my heals on 1, cures on 2, damage spells on 3, debuff spells on 4. Seems to work for me.
