Hi folks,I'm about to ding to 28. I have not respec since the respec patch and I have 1 rough coral burning a hole in my pocket. Here are my options as I see them.1. Respec to all group cures except for CSOV and upgrade Soothing Sermon to adept III.2. Respec to all group cures, don't get CSOV and upgrade BOV to adept III.3. Another option that I'm missing? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
<DIV>What do you have now? If you already have CSV I'd say upgrade another spell. By the time you feel like upgrading BoV, 15gp may be nothing or you may run into another coral.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I also have a coral stored and am level 27, but I have CSV already. I've actually upgraded both Arch Healing and Admonishing Smite. I don't use Soothing Sermon as much as some may (I find it too slow to cast during battles and not as efficient as CSV before pulls anyway). I plan to just continue life until level 40+ and then /respec at that time after upgrading BoV. I may even sell the coral, but it seems like coral/jasper prices have actually increased lately, so it's like an inflation hedge.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
You are almost 28 and not far from 30. My stance, sell the coral or give to a friend.Since you have CSV already, keep that until the next time you need respec. BoV is almostnot worth it for me. If you are short of money - sell it - should get you 15g or thereabouts. If you have plenty of money, just upgrade any sepll you like.

Thanks for the input. With the respec, I can get rid of CSV so I don't feel the need to operate under the assumption that i "have CSV already".I understand that the group cure trauma at this point isn't anything special, but a main consideration for me is that Adept III BOV seems to be a fair substitute for CSV, while there is no apparent substitute for group cure trauma. If Sony decides to create more mobs that give group traumas (and doesn't nerf us by making the group cure trauma option available to other classes), then the group cure trauma would probably make a bigger difference in my ability over the difference between CSV and BOV Adept III.As for the issue with Soothing Sermon, I find myself using it often prior to fight start. My current fight strategy is:1. SS on group pre fight2. CSV on mt3. alternate CSV and SP on mtSo now, with the input from the two responses above, my options are:1. Respec to all group cures except for CSOV and upgrade Soothing Sermon to adept III.2. Respec to all group cures, don't get CSOV and upgrade BOV to adept III.3. Upgrade SS to adeptIII and wait on the respec to see if group cure trauma is ever needed.4. Don't upgrade at this point and wait on the respec.Another thing that is important to mention is that I did not take ANY of the group cures on my current roll, which was an obvious mistake. This would make me inclined to not wait on the respec. Thanks again.

<DIV>I'd use the coral on Daring adept3 - it gives a couple hundred more ac than the app3/4 version. And then respec to take CSoV if you don't already have it. I have BoV adept3 and i dont use it anymore at lvl 30 - use CSoV and Intercession.</DIV>

<DIV>I would upgrade BoV to Adept 3.</DIV> <DIV>At level 38 I still use it quite a bit as a backup heal spell.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I typically use Intercession (Adept 3). That is my favorite spell.</DIV> <DIV>If it expires too quick because of AE spells, that leaves me with BoV and Supplicants to throw on people in an emergency.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I use BoV the most of my single target reactives since it costs so little power.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>It's also nice to stack BoV on top of Intercession because both Intercession and BoV fire off together for some nice heal power.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I took CSOV the first time around, but with the latest respec, I took all of the AE heals.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Either way, good luck!</DIV>
SS is useless for Adept III cos once you get Intercession (which is very soon),you will never look back to SS.

<DIV>Why not just save your /respec and continue to use CSV? When you get to the level where you get greater intercession then /respec and take the group cure.</DIV> <P>Message Edited by MilkToast on <SPAN class=date_text>03-01-2005</SPAN> <SPAN class=time_text>10:20 PM</SPAN></P><p>Message Edited by MilkToast on <span class=date_text>03-01-2005</span> <span class=time_text>10:20 PM</span>

in the end you will want to have all group cures. It doesn't matter when you /respec, just remember to take all group cures when you do. Raid mobs tend to love to AE dot your party and i am sure there will be encounters based on all kind of AEs. If you don't have a group cure you just cannot keep your group alive.I kept my tanks alive until i reached 45 using BoV ad3 (with intercession), maybe CSV is a little better but not that much to justify the sacrifice of a unique spell.
<blockquote><hr>Xrande wrote:SS is useless for Adept III cos once you get Intercession (which is very soon),you will never look back to SS.<hr></blockquote>Certainly not useless. I still use it at 39 for the lower power cost, comes in very handy against large mobs sizes, like 6+ where it works pretty much like a huge instant heal. This saves a lot of power and still keep people alive. I'd say get that SS adept 3, it's useful for a long time.
