<DIV>Ok, Ive noticed theres a lot of different styles of playing a Templar. It even varies more when theres another Priest class in the party. This is just how I play my templar. Please post a brief style as to how you play. Not looking for flames as to .. "Well I think your dumb because its better to cast...." Just putting together some styles for others to try to see if it helps them. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Level 30</DIV> <DIV>Spells used most often - Intercession Adept 3, Supp Prayer Adept 1, Mark of Pawns Adept 1</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I will have intercession up 90% of the time, even when just running through a dungeon. (*One thing to note about Intercession, there is no casting range. You can cast this and even while the tank is pulling it will still hit him/her. Not sure if bugged, but currently there is no range. Tested while in group had a friend run about halfway across EL and I cast the spell, still landed on him.) With that said, if you time it correctly, you can cast Intercession and avoid that initial Templar heal agro if the tank doesnt taunt often on the pull. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>~ Cast Intercession on group while X_person is pulling</DIV> <DIV>~ Add a Supp Prayer after the fight has begun and tank gains control of agro.</DIV> <DIV>~ Cast Mark of Pawns (Unless there is a necro in the group - it hampers with one of their dots or something along those lines.. havent tested nor confirmed)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>At this point your tank is still pretty much full health, not to mention if there is a barrage when the fight starts, your group is still somewhat covered for a heal from Intercession. Follow this with a recast of Intercession if needed or Amelioration Adept 1 for a top off heal when battle is close to the end.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>~ If time and mana allows I will cast Sign of Weakness Adept 1 on group pulls followed by Amending Fate for the top off heals.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If there is a single mob pull, I cast the above mentioned reactive heals + MoP</DIV> <DIV>Then I will also cast the following depending on level of mob (con to me due to resists)</DIV> <DIV>Disgrace, Weakness, and toss out a Combative faith for extra dmg if the group is not DPS heavy.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Buffs I keep up 99% of the time (unless theres a higher level whos buffs will overwrite mine)</DIV> <DIV>Protective Faith Adept 1, Daring AppIV, Symbol of Ryltan Adept 1, and depending on group I will rotate the last 2 slots out with Pious Redoubt or Protectorate</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Needless to say, this is the basics I use. Of course it changes from time to time depending on the situation and the group, but this is no doubt the usual casting I follow. Hope this may help others, but Im also curious to see other tactics.</DIV>

<DIV>I also have a level 30 Templar. I am still using BoV instead of SP and SS instead of Intercession, as I'm not clear as to when SP and Intercession become more efficient than the older spells. Also all of my spells are app3-4. How do you manage to put enough gold together to buy so many Adept spells?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My ideal line up is to cast SS as the tank goes to pull, and then Sign of Weakness as the tank is running back. SoW has a fairly long range and low aggro. When the tank is back in camp I cast BoV, and if it is a single target and a challenge for the group I follow this with by Disgrace and Mark of Pawns. Then I make sure that SS, BoV and debuffs stay up as required.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Anvel</DIV>

<DIV>Intercession is my most used spell.  I keep that up pretty much at all times.  I have an adept 1 for it so it heals pretty good and has an AC buff I believe.  I use BoV more then SP.  Less mana.  Heals for a tad less but habit so I use it.  I only use SP when BoV is not recharged(usually when tossing it on someone besides MT) or when MT is really getting hammered.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Buffs I keep up now are Daring, Bravery, Symbol of Rytlan, Faith, and Pious Redoubt on MT.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If I'm not having to chain heal I will usually Disgrace/Rebuke to up the damage.  And combative Faith as much as Mana will allow.  If it's going to be a long fight against a boss mob I will try to Weakness and Sign of weakness them too.  Large groups of mobs I will Sign of Weakness almost right away.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I have started using the Amending Fate upgrade(Not Redemptive the training one) because it adds a bit of power back which everyone in the group benefits from.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I have almost never used Mark of Pawn, Mark of Princes.  Never noticed a difference using them or what they actually do.  And recently go Involuntary Heler but no idea what it does either.</DIV>

I figured I have as much of a chance finding  a rare mining harvest as I do seeing an Adept I need drop. So... with that said and a ton of mining in TS and EL, I aquired a few rare stones, sold/traded/or used to have adepts made. Adept1 and AppIV's are usually fairly cheap. But If I have money to spend... I dont buy upgrades, I buy spells... then I used left over for upgrades.</DIV>
