Is the Melee attack buff that goes with the heal actually worth anything?Well other than giving a cool fist icon that the tank might think is helping them. From what I can tell at lv28 it adds +3 to the attack value.. which given attack values at lv28 (mine is 405) its umm useless.

The +Attack is minimal to prevent the heal from being cast as a buff.

Then why have it all.. except that templars are suppose to be a healer that gives benifical effects...ie like Arch Healing removes minor Trauma and Supplicant's Prayer with its AC component. But +3 to attack hummphAlso on another related issue I swear I have gotten a "would not take hold" type of message trying to cast it on the main tank while being grouped with another Templar. I think that was before I had the Adept 1 version.TuluLv28 TemplarQeynos, Najena
Message Edited by Moozoo on 01-05-2005 08:07 AM

>Now I am sure I could have arch healing at adept 1 if I COULD FIND IT!If your a good aligned character try the blackmarket (evil) broker in Qeynos. To find him, jump in the water next to the broker in Qeynos harbour and swim towards the docks. There is an underwater tunnel leading to the area that has the blackmarket broker.Thats where I got it from.I believe it drops more often on the evil side of the world.Tululv28 TemplarQeynos, Najena

Who cares about the buff, it's a very fast and effective heal. I have the upgraded of Combat Healing (Amelioration) at Master 1 (got lucky) that heals at 518 in 2 seconds vs. Restoration at 796 at Adept 3. You can rotate back and forth between the two and have an easy time healing.

>Who cares about the buff, it's a very fast and effective heal. Since all healers are suppose to be equal its the buff that makes up for not being able to Slow , Damage shields,Sow etcie If i understand it, druids and shamans should have a heal to match that of Combat Heal. But they also get useful stuff like Damage Shields or Slow.Unless.. you believe that Clerics are intended to be the best healers in the game...Tululv28 TemplarQeynos, Najena

Of course I'd like to believe templars are the best healers in the game, but it's all about opinion. We do get debuffs... we get a very powerful AoE STR debuff (druids only get single target), we also get an AC/Mitigation debuff that allows for higher nukes and more dmg dealt on a mob. But we're more about buffs - we can add a spell on a mob that allows your group members to heal when attacking it, we can add a spell that gives a group heal once the target is dead, and some of our buffs even have attack procs... we're still pretty powerful.

And I love you too Ender
