I lucked into a silver cluster this morning and had it made into an ink. I was going to have BoV Adept 3 made, but I've been rethinking this. I'm early into level 26, so I do not have the upcoming reactive. But I understand that this might be the better way to go adept-wise.Any suggestions? I'm interested to hear a higher level templar's take on things. Thanks!

I have a palladium in the bank I got a week ago, waiting for Arch Heal adept3 to go in. Either that, or I'll look into Amelioration adept3. My style uses the instant heals 90% more than HoT lines, so BoV is a huge waste for me.

I rely quite a bit on the reactives, so I'd like to stick with that unless this is overwhelmingly the wrong way to go.

You will still use BOV along with the lvl 26 reactive , up untill lvl 33 at which stage the lvl 26 one becomes more efficient...

or you can wait until they patch things and create an Adept 4 spell, might be worth the wait

<blockquote><hr>MasterMagicianPug wrote:or you can wait until they patch things and create an Adept 4 spell, might be worth the wait<hr></blockquote>I don't think there will be an Adept IV. At least not in the patch notes. App IV is confirmed.

There wont be adept4, its only apprentice4 that is in the patch.

dang... thought it would affect both levels of crafted spells/skills

I haven't received the 26 reactive, but would you recommend trying to get an adept III of that instead of BoV? Or stick with BoV?

<DIV>I have a level 28 templar and I still don't have any adept 3 spells...  Silver/Coral is way to expensive on Mistmoore, and no matter how much I try and harvest, I have not found any yet.  The only thing I have found is some copper... and Tier 1 spells don't seem to be much help at all, I might try to make Weakness adpet 3 with it but I can't afford the books/scrolls to make it.  I have tried to look for someone that can and so far I am at a loss, and haven't been successful.  At the moment I'm just worried about trying to get some paper so that I can craft level 20+ app 3 spells, but I think I'm going to wait for the patch.  Maybe I'll get a bit of business for people looking for those same level spells in App 4 form.</DIV>

<DIV>     This has nothing to do with the Adepts, as I agree with what everyone else has said. My point is, if you notice Narae's response earlier, you'll notice it 1-starred. Now, I have 1-starred people before, for racist, senseless, and flaming posts... but honestly, what did Narae do wrong? If it was because he mentioned instant heals, he also mentioned that was "his" play style. I've noticed this same trend across other threads (including mine) and it really makes me angry. Why should anyone post anything to help, if they're going to get 1-starred for it? This lack of respect for others' opinions is really making me sick.</DIV> <DIV>      Thank you Narae for your input (and everyone else risking the 1-star [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] hat), and trying to help when another Templar asked. I hope you continue doing it, and not let a forum troll dissuade you.</DIV>

<DIV>I would definetly go with BoV.</DIV>

<DIV>I went with BoV, at 32 i think my g/f's level 26 heal still does around 115 or so per hit for 82 power or so at either app 3 or adept 1, cant remember which.  Her BoV(Adept 3) is at max effectiveness by now, and does 134 per hit for 65 power.  We both spent over 10 hours getting 1 more coral and 1 more silver(ended up just buying it after getting 1 coral in 10 hours of endless mining) only to be heartbroken and find that there is no recipe for Adept 3 Arch Healing.  I would go all the way in saying to go with BoV, it has been an awesome spell in keeping me alive.</DIV>

<DIV>Go with BoV.  At your level it will be more beneficial.  By the time you are going to be wanting to use SP, gold is more readily available to you and you can get another Adept3 for it.  In later levels having Adept3 BoV is always handy as it is pretty much a free mana spell for random heals.</DIV>

<DIV>Go with BOV.  It is still used even at 30.  Although I mostly use Intercession Adept I  Even though it is a group it stacks with supplicants and heals for 240 a tick, plus AC increase.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Anyhow  BOV will hit for 134  a tick with adept III  </DIV>

<DIV>I think I was level 26 or 27 when I had saved enough gold to purchase an adept3 BoV.  I noticed -zero- improvement from the app3 I already had.  It healed for the same amount it had been - 134. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Does it heal more in a few levels?  Is it bugged?  I just turned 28 via quest xp, and haven't tested it again to see any improvement.....</DIV>

<DIV>It heals for 104 at app3, not 134.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>To answer the original post, might be too late, but I would wait for the update before doing it. With any luck they will change SP to make it worth it now.</DIV>

<DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I had the same situation few weeks ago (was level 19 or 20), and here are something from my notes:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Daring App1: Sta+8, AC+31</DIV> <DIV>Daring Adept3: Sta+10, AC+224, Pow+18, HP+19</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Admonishing Smite, App1 => Adept3 damage approximately doubled (40 => 80 against distinguished farmers Antonica / front of burned house close to scarecrows)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>One view point for this could be that one should adeptize those spells what (s)he uses and relies the most. So IMO updating of DD spell before heals make only sense if you will questing / gathering / exploring much and want make solo kills at the same time. Updating of Daring .. I was very much positively surpirised how big boost was. It still looks very big, but that is what I have wrote down <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />.</DIV> <DIV></FONT> </DIV>

<DIV>I have adept III's of all the tier two's that mattered to me and my preference is:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>1. BoV</DIV> <DIV> <DIV>2. Soothing Sermon</DIV>3. Daring</DIV> <DIV>4. Rebuke</DIV> <DIV>5. Symbol</DIV> <DIV>6. Redoubt</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I also have adept III of disgrace and lucked out by getting a cheap master I of Sign of Weakness.  High level mobs are easy to take out after I nail them with Sign, Disgrace, then Rebuke.  So you can also try going the debuffing route which is a lot of fun.  After a mobs debuff'ed my job is nearly done.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I don't like seeing nuke happy healers so I wouldn't recommend upgrading damage spells.  Let others do the damage IMO.</DIV>
