<DIV>Haha. It forces someone in your group, that you target and cast the spell on, to bow if lower level then you.</DIV>

<DIV>Yes, Faith Respect gives you literally seconds and seconds worth of entertainment before you're bored with it <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Although it does also make people look stupid if they're running when you do it on them <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Maybe people could post their 'funniest Faith Respect moment' so we can get some mileage out of this rubbish spell... maybe make videos of them all, and edit them together and make a music video to Bon Jovi's "Keep the faith"...</DIV>

<DIV>Yeah I have no idea why they gave us such a lame spell. Even a dang pig familar would be better than this. Make ONE person bow?!? This is the biggest waste of money. HEY! Guess what if no one buys the spell maybe they will change it! I for one have not bought it.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Kilratha</DIV>

<DIV>The fun "Bow before me" fluff, guess it could be worse?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Ever wonder how they come up with stuff like this? I can see it now, Dev's all sitting at some round table (Sorry, just got done watching King Arthur), going over each class and what to do with them</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Dev_01 - Hey, Paladins should get a horse at lvl 20, it only makes sense, fully heavy armor heroic knights jousting and all that....</DIV> <DIV>Dev_02 - Druids should be able to change their form into a wolf, nature lovers and all, makes sense</DIV> <DIV>Dev_03 - Hrm, Clerics should get something to make people show respect when they get their medical bill.... lets give them a "Bow before me you insignificant bill stiffer", makes no sense but its something to give them regardless. Honestly, if they saved your life, you should be kissin their feet.</DIV> <DIV>Dev_04 - Warriors should get swords, they need to fight!</DIV>

Well, on funny stories (yes, i broke down and bought the spell when I was getting my language primers)...Had a group with a tank and a backbiter that were lower level than me. Every time the tank came in with a pull I would hit him with a Respect. After about the fifth time he claimed to be bugged and I suggested he should camp to desktop and come back in. Which he did and it appeared to fix the "bug" but for some reason the backbiter started bowing every time the tank would pull in a mob. Incidentally, it's quite funny to see a crouched, hidden scout trying to bow!I've also gotten lucky a few times and cast faith respect right as someone was doing an emote. It over-rides their emotes. Had people tell me "weird bug, when I try to tap my foot at you it makes me bow!" /ROFLBut in all seriousness, the knights got screwed on their "fun" abilities. Everyone will have a horse in 6 months so their "fun" ability will be common for everyone. At least ours is unique even if it is stupid.

Besides, it's not really like you would really miss the cost of the spell in the long run, it's like a few silver, which is nothing at all in the big scheme of things. But as 'useless' as it is, there could be times that makes having the spell worth more than gold <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Pristine Conditioned Elm Buckler - 20 silver....</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Aurora's Tree Branch of Blessings - 50 silver....</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Making the tank relog due to thinking they're bugged when being Faith Respected...... priceless :smileyvery-happy:</DIV>

I suspect the devs could only thing up a few nice fluff spells (pretty much every class whinges about theirs) and were getting desperate towards the end, hence Faith Respect.
<DIV>Heh, ok I got to put a use for this spell the other night. What was so funny about it was the tank in the group couldnt figure out why he was bowing before each combat. I tried to explain to him that SOE was having some issues and it might be looked into on the next big patch. :smileywink: Needless to say, it looked like some old time kung fu movie, he would get back to the group with the pull and taunt, Bow, and attack. Just wish I could have made the mob bow as well. lol</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>*EDIT - FYI, the tank didnt die once the whole night and though it cost me extra mana on heals... the entertainment factor was - Priceless. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>PS - Has anyone been in a group with a monk and you were high enough to cast it on him/her? Wonder if it would actually make the monk stand up from FD, Bow, and fall back down? OR... would it make the monk bow while laying down? /ponder</DIV> <P><SPAN class=time_text></SPAN> </P><p>Message Edited by snailz on <span class=date_text>12-29-2004</span> <span class=time_text>01:29 PM</span>

<DIV>One thing I like to do with this spell is type /moon and then hit the spell then enter on the emote it makes your target kiss your butt which is way better than just making them bow. I love to do this to people that I can do it to especially after a rez it is great gets alot of laughs also:smileytongue:</DIV>

<DIV>Faith respect has been the only spell that has caused me to laugh to the point of tears especially back in the early days when everybody was new and didn't know what all the fluff spells were about. It's a fun spell in the right circumstances. My apologies to that low-20s tank on Unrest many weeks ago for the missed heal or two while I was trying to regain my composure. hehe....</DIV>

<BR> <BLOCKQUOTE>I just can not justify spending this type of money on such a spell. Now give me a fun spell of a dang near anything else and I might be able to but just bowing....only one person......only if he/she is lower level than you..... Wow! This is the only complaint I have about the game is this one spell! I love everything else! Give me a pig that insults me everytime I hit someone, or ANYTHING but this!?! Common.</BLOCKQUOTE>

I would like someone to tell me of any other class that has such limitations placed on their characters "fun spell" Only one person, only in group and only lower level. I would almost buy this if I could make random people I pass do it. Then it will fluf my ego enough to make it worth it! NOW THAT WOULD BE FUN!<BR>

<DIV> <DIV> I used this spell to vent a couple of days ago. A group of level 48-50s were xping in Permafrost, mostly from one one guild. One of the members had to go, so I suggested an L48 enchanter (yummy) to make the xp go faster, as power was really our only limiting factor (L50 bezerker with rampage :smileytongue: ), also this L48 had grouped with all of us many times, and was finding it extremely hard to get a group to 50.</DIV> <DIV> Well no, apparently the group was officially classified as a guild group, the enchanter was turned down, and we invited an L43 bezerker to "plvl". In my extreme annoyance; A.) I hate plvling, B.) I hate when a more useful person who needs xp is turned down, C.) There is a shortage of 40+ tanks on my server, he could've been in his own group easily; I decided the L43 would know his place. I must've spammed Faith Respect 1000 times that night. Everyone knew I didn't like him in the group, almost to the point of uneasy silence.</DIV> <DIV> In this regard, the spell was beyond flavor, it was the embodiment of a High Templar's displeasure. I didn't need to use words, I just needed to let everyone know that the one bowing, did not belong.</DIV></DIV>
