<DIV>                   Well, it's a minimum level 42 item, but they're still yellow to me at 47 (and while turn white at 50). It is from the quest The Journey is Half the Fun (I suppose frustrating failures on certain races is the other half :smileywink: ).</DIV>

<DIV>Aye, thats the quest, you gotta run races in Antonica, the commonlands, TS, nek forest, Zek, EL and maby everfrost, not sure on the last one though.  I've heard rumor that they are faster than the fastest horse currently ingame, care to comment aur?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As far as the journeyman's boots that most have, they came with the pre-order of the game.  They provide a small runspeed enhancement, close to pathfinding but not quite as fast.  I have to disagree about their 'uselessness' they saved me bum more times than I can remember in antonica and the commonlands.  Without them on, the mobs were always right behind me wailing away, until i'd sprint, but they would catch right back up when I slowed back down, so I couldn't ever really outrun mobs as they never stopped chasing me.  BUT with the boots on, even without using sprint, i was slowly putting distance between me and the mob.  Sprinting would distance me out of their attack range, then keep the boots on and they'll neva catch up.  They even helped out in some of the dungeons, though I rarely wear them when fighting, always wear my AQ3 boots, but have the bag they are sitting in readily available to swap my boots and run like hell.  As you can't always count on having a class with runspeed buffs in the group, also if you gotta run, they might have died already, or you go differant directions.</DIV>

<DIV>      The quest is: Antonic, Commonlands, Thunderring Steppes, Nektulos Forest (which is the only tough one), Zek: Orcish Wastes, Enchanted Lands, and finally Feerrott. The Feerrott circuit guarantees you can't complete this quest until at least level 37.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>      As for the run speed enhancement, I was quite disappointed. The best horses in the game cost 9plat and some change, and provide speeds greater than sprint. I knew the LJboots weren't going to be <EM>that</EM> fast, but I was expecting something close to SoW. The stats/armor class on the boots already make it superior to any other boots I have seen for heavy armor, so I don't have too much to complain about. I can easily chase down a normal speed mob/player given I have enough space to cut the lead down. Essentially, the LJBoots are like the preorder ones, except you wont have to swap them out for combat situations. The most handy thing about the run speed enhancement, is the fact you can run faster then a mob can hit you, meaning a train to zone is a 99% survival rate.</DIV>

Same speed as the pre-order JBoots? <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />Well, in a sense this is a good thing of not trying to upset the balance of Scout's pathfinding uniqueness. But they should've at least make it close to SoW. Right now, free jboots is not even close to SoW at all.

<DIV>Pre-order jboots stack with the scout run speed buff so its useful to have both around.</DIV>

What is the graphic, Auria?

<DIV>         The graphic is the same as the pre-order Jboots. But, before everyone cries: Lame(!), remember in a year, no one will have preorder jboots, or care about them, so it'll be a non-issue. I like how they look myself, except in combat I wear legs that override boot graphics, so... I don't get to see them <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

I like the graphic myself, so I don't mind. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Thanks!

I have found my newb journeyman's boots to be quite helpful. I was working on the actual jboots quest and kept loosing. Then i equiped my newb jboots and was able to win them no problem. Next race for me is in orcish wastes.
